Can you please tell me what it says on the chips ive circled in green.

Im not sure if I have the right ones for Vmem and VDD, a better pic may help as its a bit hard to make things out on that one.

yes it will. i beleave the vdd mod is a 5k ohm pot from pin 3 of the tiny IC with 8legs under the agp slot.

same chip as the AN7 uses.

Did the volt mods (vcore and vsense)"bldegle2"

Pomona grabber to 47kpot, then to ground. Grabber ends modded slightly so they clip and hold without touching the legs on either side.

you NEED to do the Vsense, or the board will crap on the overvolt at 2.1 and beyond.

50K for vsense and vcore?

Please check that you DO have a 6301 before doing any modding, I cant read that pic clearly...

VDD mod is apparantly the same as on the NF7/S

www.motherboardfaqs.com have a guide... please check that the Vreg is in fact the same before you do the mod...

the chip is the 6301.
pin 7= vcore
pin 10= OVP

Following the instructions for the Vdimm mod, a 100kohm VR is called out.

Anyone who's done this mod, can you tell me the approximate ohm value your VR is set to? My local Radio Shack has no 100k VR's available at this time. I *do* have some 10k ohm cermets so if the approximate range is 10k or less I'm good to go this weekend. Else I'll have to wait for some 100k VR's to come in.

I have 100K@56K and get 3.0v = 3.45v

Hmm, maybe I'll try a 50k fixed and use the 10k to trim it. Thanks Lastviking!

heres my pic of teh vdimm mod i did.

that goes to a 200k ohm VR, i have it set to 63k. last viking has his at 58k, and setting bios to 3.2 yields 3.68volts.

If there's that much variance needed (at least 58-63k) then I think I'll just wait 'til I get some VR's with a wider range than 10k. It would be just too much risk to build one up using fixed resistors and a 10k to chance it.

i just set mine to 63k because i have a one turn 200k ohm pot.. so its REALLLYYY hard to set it. i just picked 63k cuz it was close. and 58k was the only referance point i had.

Today my Lanparty B arrived and I just set it up.

I tried 3 different beta bios and none of them helped me to get 230mhz fsb stable. My Ram is Corsair3500.

Could someone with high fsb please post some important bios settings and which bios ver. you're using ?

I'm pumping 3,2v now up in this beeeeatch!

Now it's at least Windows stable with 240mhz DC (and 5mins Memtest stable) :P
