I got this on stock voltage (1.325V in BIOS) and stock cooling. +0.1V to the FSB and MCH. Gigabyte 965P-DS3 rev 3.3.
I plan to push further soon, but I don't know how much more since SpeedFan is reporting my T_case as 57-58c and Intel's thermal spec is 61.5c.

    EDIT: Damn, it's unstable:

    @SoF & Prodigys-you both have very nice CPU's
    Thnx !

If i got my WC set, i gonna clock the hell out of my E2160, i want to get the 3.6Ghz .

And my E2140 will face a 333 FSB mod, then i overclock that chip also again.
3.2Ghz on 1.2Vcore means that it burns Mhz on 1.6VCore !
And still I will not own everyone[/FONT]

Well here is something close to 3.6Ghz (3555Mhz 9X multi) on stock cooling + a Air conditioner close to the rig, that's @ ~1.58-1.59V,sometimes it runs @ 3.57 with no problems other times (like this one) it wouldn't, anyway great chip for the money....

Your temp is to high !

Is your heatsink attached good ? And your cooler fits good ?
I dont believe those temps with any cooler .

Anyways, temps you can best read out with Everest and CoreTemp 0.95.

Wow that M0 -stepping can take some fsb! Not bat clocks either...

Now that i have better mobo (Gigabyte P35C -DS3R) i can get my E2160 to 3.2GHz (356 x 9). Vcore is set to 1.48V in bios. Zalman 7700AlCu is the cooler.

You all guys have luck. I got really bad one E2160.

Maybe my motherboard is fu**ed, its singing (PWM) when CPU got load.

Max stable FSB is 250, does not matter on voltage and multiplier. 2,25GHz its on 1,25V voltage.

OEM? RETAIL? So where do most of you buy your cheapo chips at? I just want nice steppings based on the store ya'll purchased from. I don't really care about the warranty, since I'm gonna void it anyways with overclocking. Thanks.

Had an E2140 for a week now and just started pushing it. Will have results soon.

Question for other E2140 owners: In Coretemp is your Tjunction read as 100deg C like mine as I have seen a few that read as 80. Does anyone know what this means? I'm not sure i trust coretemp as reading the true temperature.

For idle-temps use Coretemp 0.95, for temps under load use Coretemp 0.94.

    Here my maximum...
