Just thought I'd throw mine into the mix, still working on just how stable it is

What stepping is the E2140?
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
I can run that speed with my E2140 on 1.2Vcore, but over that speed (413 FSB) he will not start/boot anymore, even not with more VCore (tested till 1.6 so...)
I think my chip can run very fast because he does 1.2VCore with 3.300Ghz, but in some other way there is something blocking it.
And still I will not own everyone

Yes, it's called FSB wall.
Docendo discimus (lat.)
Yes, i know that.
But i did a 266 pin mod , doesnt matter at all...
Did a 333 pinmod, same result...
It just keeps hitting 413 and then crash ....![]()
And cpu is just @ 1.2Vcore with 3.3Ghz so that means he can go much and much higher with 1.5Vcore _IF_ i can manage to terminate the FSB wall ...
And still I will not own everyone

Well you're lucky, my 2160 craps out at 345 MHz, perfectly stable up till that point with +.75 vCore and no matter what I throw at it wouldn't post above 345 MHz. How is it possible to have such a low FSB Wall anyway? Can anybody confirm that I can overcome this FSB wall by BSEL modding the CPU so I won't waste money on a TR Ultra120 Extreme ? I don't need an aftermarket cooler now since it won't produce enough heat to bother the stock cooler when running 333x9 with the vcore mentioned above.
Mine can boot all the way up to 460x7 (3220MHz), i'm yet to try any higher, but 3300MHz~ seems to be the limit of the actual chip
Going to stick it under the vapochill and see if I can squeeze a little more from it.

Unfortunately the FSB wall kicks in @405FSB![]()
There's no reason to be sad, that's a pretty high wall for an Allendale on air.
What's the max frequency you can get at a decent voltage?
Docendo discimus (lat.)
Salut Neon Biker
The max frequency with the stock voltage is 2700Mhz and 3000-3100 with 1.4 and 3500 with 1.55
Just ordered a 2160 for my new office rig along with a asus p5k -vm. I look forward to messing around with it.

Mine E2140 does 3.2Ghz on 1.2Vcore, and goes up to 3.320Ghz with that VCore, any higher then 415FSB will lead to a nice non-booting system or BSOD.
Mine E2160 does 3Ghz on stock VCore (1.325) and 3.2Ghz on 1.4Vcore, 3.55Ghz with a 1.55Vcore, any higher then 3550Mhz wil alos lead to a non-booting system or BSOD.
Really nice CPU's if you ask me, and if you want to know the batch of mine E2140 ===> L702C646, i also tested a L702C660 and he does the same things..
If anyoen knows to turn up the FSB higher then 415 i want to know.
EDIT:
The E2140 neither want boot higher then 415FSB with 1.2 till 1.6Vcore, just wanted to tell you guys this.
And still I will not own everyone

let's 2times it here with 2x 100% OC on E2140 and E2160 both on Mach I modded:
E2140 --> was hard to get there, all valids I tried were broken
E2160 --> think a quite good chip
3717 MHZ valid
Wprime1024 killer budget chip with some tweakin' - so close to sub 12min damn![]()

Does anyone have benches against an AMD dual core on stock and overclocked? I might cave in and get one of these.
Very nice results EXPANDER man that voltage is crazy![]()
Is it just me, or do MOST chips below the e6600s wall at about 487FSB? Very rarely do we see e21/4x/64xx chips that pass 500FSB
