Just run it at 10x250Mhz for a nice and cool 2.50Ghz. Until I get a better cooler (having trouble mounting my Vapo on it...) or a better retention system that will have to do.

If I boot at 200FSB and then overclock with Clockgen, the PC800 runs with the Performance Mode ON but I lose the AGP lock (ATI issue). SuperPi 1M at ~2.6Ghz is 29sec. If FSB>200Mhz in BIOS, the AGP stays locked even if I use Clockgen but the Perf Mode is OFF and SuperPi at 2.6Ghz is 30sec.
I thought that MACCI said to boot at 201+ then there's a way to enable perf mode thru windows from the desktop???

Well after reading this thread again I still cant seem to find if the P4P800-VM can have its FSB adjustable ??

I have bought an 1.4 Banias with the intention of putting it in my HTPC that only takes micro-ATX but if the -VM is no good to OC it looks like I will have to change my HTPC case to one that takes full ATX

    can anyone please advise
lots and lots of cores and lots and lots of tuners,HTPC's boards,cases,HDD's,vga's,DDR1&2&3 etc etc all powered by Corsair PSU's

Not in the bios but clockgen or setfsb will both work. I tested this with a 1.6 400fsb no problems. The vm's weak point is ram will only work upto 2.6v and a ddr booster will blow the board at anything above it.
as long as your not pushing the memory your good for about 168fsb max should be enough for you.

    Good luck

    Yes, with the 865/875 Tweaker.

I tried EIST and CPUMSR but with these programs I can raise the vcore to max 1.35V. Is there any other software that allows to go higher?

I have a problems with my set up...
i cannot go over 2400MHz and even at that speed is unstable , i am using P4C800-E Deluxe (bios 1021) ram is OCZ 3200EL Platinum Rev.2
2x512MB ,OCZ PowerStream520W i dont know why , but when i am usin clockgen to rise the FSB is freezing after like 1-3 seconds. is it posible tempreture to be so high?

And CPUz is saying that my SPU is 725 , but at the box and CPU its says 730?

Download the newest version of CPU-Z.

It is easier to modify the socket to get higher voltages. See above.

I have yet to determine whether this wire trick can be used in conjuction with setting vcore in the bios to trick these puppies into overvolting a little? I'd like to go maybe 1.7 when the phase is mounted.

Many thanks leejsmith its main use is going to be an HTPC so no way do I want to have to fool around with clockgen so it looks like an P4P800-E and a new case that takes full ATX oh well, all in the search for silence

    I tried using 2 u-wire mods on the p4p800-e.

Vid4 to vss to give 1.568v and i think vid1 to vss to bump upto to 1.62v but it never showed any higher than the bios allowed 1.6v.

Didnt try it in a p4p800 that does not have vcore selection in the bios it could work in that.

It seems 2.6Ghz to be the limit for me.... at least on air... somebody to have any idea how to mount Vapochill LS on that?

10X Charlie , i am still thinking , what i can do to fix that problem... i doubt that another low profile FAN gonna do better then ASUS fan, I am blowing air over the CPU fan with one 120mm paraflow, but , this doesnt realy help i think....

This is really frustrating. Seems I have just about the worst clocking 730. For superpi and 3dmark stability, my cpu needs 1.35 volts for 2.4Ghz, 1.45 for 2.5Ghz and 1.55 for 2.6Ghz. The mobo is a p4p800se. So, setting the Vcore to the bios max, (1.6) this cpu's max suprepi stable is 2640Mhz with the stock heatsink and 2680 with a zalman 7000alcu.
Most seem to be reaching 2.7+, with less voltage and on stock cooler. Under load, Vcore only drops to 1.588v. Temps never go above 39-40c at load.
I've had a really bad string of cpus lately...

So does TCCD perform better than UTT on while using the P4C800se etc?
So much divider use, hard to tell what ram speeds people are running, so i cant tell whether utt or tccd is being used, thanks :P

With TCCD, I seem to be running about 1 sec. slower in superpi (vs. like clock speeds) than others. Of course, I have been running with 2.5-3-3-7 timings. Good up to 280Mhz on p4p800se.

Talking about ty CPU's, using stock cooler my 730 is 24/7 stable@2.4GHz with 1.45v (BIOS setting). 2.47GHz isn't stable even with 1.50v. Above 2.6GHz mine doesn't even post regardless of voltage given. MB is P4P800-E Dx.
