not bad, I don't really care about the colors, because I don't concern myself with actually looking at the board for too long.

on another note, I'm gonna be buying the G45 variant. I think Gigabyte had one at cebit, but the main pci-e slot was x4 (r u kidding)? So I'll wait for some news and more models to come out.

Those new bios options are insane!!!...tons of new features and options added. I have to say i am (so far) impressed with the PCB changes with the P45, the new 90 degree SATA ports are a must and will remove alot of the issues people had with long graphics cards. The clear CMOS button is an ABSOLUTE must!

This two pin jumper crap Gigabyte used for years is a horror, trying to get to the pins to short them....it was always a nightmare!, now with just a push of a button it'll reset the bios to default.

The upgraded components are very nice, high end Intersil chips such the ISL6336, most current IT8720F Super I/O...Realtek 8111C, dumping the Parrallel port, a revised TPM header.

Dinos...will the bios be updated at some stage to support the new XMP 2.0 profile?, it also seems (much like X48 PCBs) that two 2 phase Intersil chips are being used to provide 2 phase power regulation to the Northbridge and memory. But do we really NEED 10 SATA ports?....8 would be fine, having to use two Silocon Image SiI5723 chips on the PCB seems a waste, and how is the DS5 providing PCI support?...i don't see an ITE IT8213F chip anywhere?, so how are they able to add two PCI slots?

It's not!...if you look carefully you'll notice that the second PCI-E slot is only an 8x electrical slot, which means they were able to place the 1394 controller under the PCI-E connector:

See where the pins end inside the PCI-E slot?...the rest of the slot is solid plastic, a notch is cut out from underneath this section to allow the the 1394 controller chip to be placed, thus saving space on the PCB...it's actually a VERY smart idea!
