I got mine yesterday but I have a problem. How come it won't go any higher that 426x8 when I set it to 438x8 plus in the bios? This is the highest I can go on the fsb but my memory is running at 533mhz fsb. I am using the the F4 bios too.

Try a 7x multi...you're hitting 3.4GHz on the CPU which is like the upper limit of what a E6420 can do.

This is with my BX2 motherboard. I already tried it at 486x7 but still reads it at 426x7 at boot up. The E6420 will hit 3.55ghz easily but I am having a hard time getting it with this DQ6. Why is it stuck at 426mhz?

This is what I get when I try the lower multi. Still stuck at 426mhz fsb. I want the higher fsb and not be stuck at 426mhz fsb.

DQ6 has 12phase cpu power and from what I have seen with my early testing doing dual 32Mb Superpi, the vcore is rock solid. Best I ever seen in all my intel chipset based boards. Vcore droop appears to be about 0.02. but 0.04 for Orthos

    Never enough lol.

I want an e2160 and a DS4 or a DQ6 or a P5K deluxe p35 board. The Gigabyte's look better to me, its apparently got better cooling, they all have 8-pin 12v psu connector (which my PSU supports). It has a parallel port (printer) which Im not even sure if the Asus has a header for a cabled one.

But cant buy a gigabyte yet without paying a "we are the only company who stock these" premium.

    DS3 and DS3R only have 4-pin 12V psu connector.

    If you want the 8-pin one....then choose DS3P, DS4, or DQ6.
IMO, DS3P, DS4, and DQ6 has the same layout.....except minus 12-phase VRM in DS4 and DS3P, and minus SilentPipe on DS3P.

Someone should compare DQ6 and P5K dlx Looking at my cheaper P35 DS3R I see that GB has improved many things.

My board did 585fsb which was cpu limit I believe and 5.1GHz under DI without any mods. More info here

Richard, could you do a 1M Pi run. I would like to see how it compares to my 975 chipset.
    Thanks in advance.

Sorry I overlooked the one MOb1us did. Would still like to see it with an E6600

H'mmm don't any of you use Orthos or any other similar program? The results don't mean much if they aren't stable do they. . . .
