    P35 DS3R + 6600 = new budget oc king, 5119Mhz, 585fsb under Dry Ice unmodded

P35 DS3R is a successor of 965 DS3 series. Very nice motherboard considering its rather cheap price, besides it supports next generation 45nm cpus It performs very similar to P5B dlx 1333 strap

Here are some results, not much optimized or tweaked, rather quick runs to test cpu/mb mhz/fsb capabilities

    Setup:
    Gigabyte P35 DS3R, E6600
    Cellshock 2x1GB, Seasonic S12 650W PSU
Volts: All max in bios, cpu 1.8V (real ~1.72V)
    Cooling: Dry Ice
    No hard mods done

    5119Mhz validation
    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=199068

Max fsb 585 (I'd say it's cpu limit, max on air 545)

    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=199053

    1M:

    Setup:

Also 32M around 11min (not very good)

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

So it is not mobo for benchmarking ?
Only High fsb at 1333 strap ?

    Thanks

This is DDR2 only, I will see if it has a strap change somewhere. It does have 3 memory optimization options - Standard, Turbo, and Extreme (or expert) but it seems that they all perform the same

And yes, cpu is nice, does stable 3.8ghz 1.5V on air/water

    it does NOT!

P35 chipset has a AUTO strap that changes to slower latanzy for every FSB you increase!

    Great board and CPu Kiwi!

Seems like P35 boards are capable of very high FSBs. Do you have a Allendale with low multi to test the board with? Would be interesting to see how far that combo could go.
