@ billdavis, thanks for making it easy, a simple copy and paste is always appreciated
@ no_n|ck, I'm going by voltage needed. If you guys disagree, I'll move him up, but 4009Mhz is pretty much 4Ghz and he needed more voltage to get it stable than the others did![]()

exactly, so thats why should the resualts be trasparent for someone whos looking for the right stepping ... i realy dont care as i have what i want, but from this point of view the turtletrax & tintin chips seams better on the table than are in reality... nevermind, at least we have something here
Update:
I'll post an updated screen if i make it 8 hours. So far so good.
Special thanks to Dark79 for sharing his settings(that apparently work quite well!)
1.48v in BIOS. 1.43v load. What i like most is running @ 4:5 ratio on a P965 with a quad. Very cool.
Still using Air cooling (Scythe Infinity).

Well... for this one 'technically' it doesn't need to be 8 hours. But i get your point. I actually killed that run after 4 hours and was shooting for 3.6ghz. I made it through 2 hours @ 3.6 before it rebooted on me. Gonna see if i can get away with upping the voltage a touch.
Updated screenshot with the prime95 run @ 4 hours(right before i killed it). Priming right now @ 3.6 with 1.5v in bios. So far @ 20 minutes.

Nice oc! Do you also use it on 3.8, or was it only for the OC sake?

I see many posts thats get 3,6 Ghz with a Q6600 and a P5K motherboard.
I have the Asus P5W DH Deluxe and i dont get the 3,4Ghz.
So does the P5K better overclock the Q6600 G0 than the P5W DH Deluxe ?
I got the same VID as you mc2k i have 1.2875v to..

I do think personally think the P35 would help for sure overclocking Quads. Altho I never owned a p965/975/i680, but I saw many people improved their O/c by going to p35, another thing all cpu are unique in their way of overclocking, and it seems there is no correlation with low VIDs and better O/c with the Q6600 g0, unlike those old famouse low vids E6600![]()
