For DDR use the empty capacitor site (white side) to the left edge of the board (i think)
For Vagp the empty capacitor site (white side) in between the PCI-E and AGP
For VTT the 2 MOSFETS near the northbridge heatsink (large flat side)

these are from memory and could be wrong (especially the ddr one) check and if the voltages look right they probably are right.
    Thanks mate,

    I will check tonight

hey Alchemist, no I must say I've not been that lucky so far, it's amazingly stable up to about 325-330 then sharply falls off in stability thereafter. When I have the time I hope to get the board back up and hit that target

Hey 325 to 330 is still good.

Once you find the perfect voltages to get it to max please let us all know.

    Thanks

    Wink 4CoreDual-SATA2

ASRock updates its popular motherboard 4CoreDual-VSTA with a new south bridge.
The new South Bridge is the VIA 8237S and supports SATA II.
This motherboard just gets better with every new generation; you still get the AGP and PCI-e support with the added bonus of SATA II.

Hi guys, first post, but have been reading on here for ages..
I know this is the wrong thread, but since it was already discussed here I thought someone in here may know the soloution..

I have the Asrock 775dual-vsta and it has that damn Mac address problem.
All the links to get Mac_tool_dl don't work. I have gotten something that sounds similar from Asrocks site, but it's giving me errors running it (booting from a usb key) I am wondering if I have to boot from a floppy, or is there anther program to correct this issue.

    Thanks

Really looking forward to playing with this board, upgraded to BIOS v 2.70 from shipped one and have now have control over my x6800 unlocked multiplier!!

Hi JonnyBravo....can i use this vcore mod on my 4coredual-vsta???

    Can i use a 50Kohm VR?

    Thanks

EDIT: Thanks Johnny...i make this mod on my 4coredual-vsta, and i use a 50 Kohm VR.....Perfect for my Pentium D 915 now at 3,65ghz

    Where are the g-Spots?!

    Hi Bravo!
    Nice job man!

I'm receiving my board this week (4coredual-vsta) and I am going to perform your hardmods.

I'm experienced in doing those stuff but I would really appreciate if you applied some RED arrows to your PICS so it would be easier for us to follow.

Every POT has the outer legs (ground) and the middle leg (+) but by your pictures I could not identify where did you solder the ground leg and where did you solder the + of the Pots.

And also would be great to where are the measuring points for all those mods.

    Thanks again!

Hi Jor3lBR, to answer your question there is no need to worry about the polarity of the pots. None of the legs are assigned a polarity and for the vmods there is no right or wrong way to solder the middle and outer legs, except of course soldered the two outer legs

Simple solder the middle leg to one point and one of the outer legs to the other point. I often refer to "Ground" in my mods but that is because it's a ground reference for bleeding off voltage to, it's not because it has to be attached to a corresponding ground on the pot.

    Hope this helps

    John

Hey J.Bravo! Thanks for the quick reply! Wow thats easy I will do that then.

    a) If I perform the vcore mod I don't need to do it on the cpu right? Is it better for OC do it by the vcore mod or the cpu pin mod? (I can't find the vcore measure point).

    b) Can I use a 20k pot on VTT instead of 10K, I run out of 10k's...

Has anyone tried to raise vdd voltages (north bridge)?

THANKS for your help! And congrats on your results.

Changing Northbridge volts just requires doing the "Vagp mod" ---> pencil or pot ---> your choice !

Best overclocking results obtained wit 1.9v or higher. But also important to fix heatsink onto Vagp output volts Mosfet !

    the more I know, the more I know I don't know !

    Asus P5Q-E
    Kingston 2x2Gb PC2-8500

Thanks Jimmor, I'll check how much this baby can burn.

But first I have to get this motherboard fully recapped... There is no way it will last with Evercon's, OST's, TK's and Nichicon HM(M) Caps.

I will sink every mosfet I lay my eyes on; tx for the reminder.

Do you know where is the Vcore measure point on this motherboard?

    -----
Is it the same thing doing the Vcore mod on the mobo or doing it on directly on the processor?

Hot glue gun is a common method.

just push it sideways and it'll snap clean off, then remove excess superglue with some acetone or suitable solvent. Good as new.

I'll keep that in mind...I always thought of SG as being a little more permanent than that.

Just use the CPU pin volt mod, no measure points needed, bios or Cpuz will read the new voltage increase.

What is the voltage of the processor now? How much volts is the increase and will this mod work for my Celeron D 356?

    Hey Bravo,

Should we solder the Vddr mod on the Red or Blue spot?

    See pic:

    IMPORTANT

Just wanted to know, has anyone experienced a decrease in overclockability when upgrading to the 2.90 BIOS? I seem to have lost either the ability to run tight timings stably and some of the FSB headroom
