    DDR400 to DDR600 2-2-2-5 for good prices !!!

    Hi all,

I'm currently contacting Infineon about if they can make socket-like BH-5 chips and Brainpower PCB's.

I'll test each chip and give it a speed rating. This way you're sure to not have 15 chips that can run 300mhz 2-2-2-5 and one chip that can't even run 240mhz so you are forced to run them at below 240mhz.

I'll only make 512mb sticks and sell them in these flavors:

    DDR400 3.0v 2*512mb 2-2-2-5 $100

    DDR480 3.3v 2*512mb 2-2-2-5 $150

    DDR520 3.4v 2*512mb 2-2-2-5 $200

    DDR560 3.6v 2*512mb 2-2-2-5 $250

    DDR600 3.8v 2*512mb 2-2-2-5 $300

Prices are just an indication because I have no idea how many stick will run at each speed. We are talking about atleast 50 stick so that makes 800 chips to handpick

I'll make sure not to make much money out of this because that isn't my intension.

This thread is just to check if anyones interested in this, that's why it isn't in the for sale thread yet.

Please put any interest in this in your post and specify in wich memory you're interested. If you have any remarks or suggestions you can also post them in here.

    regards,

    alexio

Yep I'm contacting them about this now.

    I asked about:

1.) If they CAN make it.

2.) What the mimimum quantity will be.

3.) What the price will be.

I'm not sure what kind of money your referring to but if by chance it's US dollars, why would anyone pay $100 for a stick of 512 ram that can do DDR 400 with 2-2-2-5 timings using 3v?
The little air system that could.

I'd be very much interested, yes. If you can pull this one off, that'd be great. Just need more info before final decision though.

EDIT: Didn't see you got TWO DDR-600 2-2-2-5 sticks for $300! EXCELLENT PRICING!

just make sure this is at 1T, ok?

    Q: How about warranties?

Wow I see a lot of interest in DDR600 sticks.

Note that if ANY chips will do DDR600 that it will be a very small percentage. If so many people would like to buy DDR600 we also need a lot of people that want to buy the DDR400, DDR480 and the other stuff.

If I make for example 100 modules that will be (100*16) 1600 chips. Out of this maybe only 100 or less will be capable of running at DDR600. I keep 2 sticks of DDR600 myself so it might be possible that only a few sticks that will run DDR600 will be for sale. If the quantity of DDR600 capable chips is very low I might consider making 256mb modules.

I think the cheap DDR400 and DDR480 is very nice for the folding guys here so I'll try to sell some to them but I still need many other people that will buy the cheaper stuff.

alexio - Do not dream with open eyes,my friend

maybe 2 things will make you reconsider your intentions

-a mass producer like Infineon will not talk with a client without same good references and for a handfull of DDR chips
-actual technology isnt capable for 2-2-2 @ DDR600.Since BH-5/BH-6 are in production -3 years for now- in the whole world there is only very few memory sticks which cand do that,at over 3.9v and only for SS,not anything stable at this speed and since your most possible clients are interested only for DDR 600....
