A little FX55 San Diego Info....

This may not be too useful, but I just had a talk with a "very reliable source" about the .09 FX55 and this is what I learned:

    1. There IS a .09 FX55
    2. It already is shipping
    3. It has only been released in limited quantities thus far and may be only found in oems such as Voodoo

Of course you don't have to believe me, but I highly doubt that this info would be too far from the truth.........

ah well the market for fx55 is small anyway and besides they already own a 130nm one. Id just wait till q3 when amd releases the fx57. Those who want a diego can get a 3700+

Will the FX-57 be 90nm too?

If it is, it is worth the wait, and even more worth it if they would just put 2MB's of cache on it, that would be sweet, but Intel has beat them to it.

    Anyone know?

Where have you pre-ordered yours? I think m-e.dk has the Venice chips on pre-order, but otherwise not much

If the store has 0,9 FX55's it might have 3700+ San Diego's
In short, both AMD and NVIDIA discovered that their next-generation graphics cards are superior to each others' last-generation graphics cards.
