I bought two Mushkin blue 512 2-3-3-6 from Fry's on Friday. I get them in, throw them in the rig and I set everything to auto, try cranking up my fsb.. it pukes at 210x10 LDT3 1:1 1.425V | 3.2 vdimm. So I'm pissed, this sucks, my PQI mem allowed me 255 without a sneeze. Tonight I am messing around and while looking at the Everest numbers I notice hey, these two sticks have diff part numbers according to this, what gives? So I check CPUZ.. yep, diff parts again, how about Sandra.. yep. I shut it down, swap sticks, same deal reverse. I shut down again and run the one stick that is the oddball which by the way is rated 2-2-2-6.. same deal part number is diff from what is on the sticker and on the website. (8928 for those that are inquisitive)
I am bored, its midnight and I have to get up for work but what the hell.. I notch them down to 1:1 2-2-5-2 everything else on auto.. raise the vdimm to 3.2 (I have active cooling on my ram, they aren't even warm.) I raise the fsb to 210.. then 220, 230. My multi is at x10 and my LDT is at 4 and this thing is running like a champ on 230 and passes memtest 5&6 twice no errors. Last night I could not squeeze 210X10 LDT 3, right now as we speak I am at 240 and will leave it overnight on Prime95 to see if it melts. I have a small problem, this phantom chip is not listed on Mushkin's site so how do I get another one of these bad boys?

The 27c is courtesy of Shin Etsu thermal paste.. I replaced my AS5 with this stuff and its a full -3c.. right now it is idling at 24c~25c. yummy.

It depends on the stick luck... http://www.anandtech.com/ has them @ 300 Mhz.

I have seen both OCZ PC3200 P. Rev. 2 (anandtech.com) and LC @ 300 FSB.

I am quite sure you will be able to go just around 280-285 Mhz fully stable.

Hynix B on the other hand are capable even of 320-330 3-4-4-8 1T.

anyone know much about Samsung TCCB chips? I have a stick of 512 that says PC2100...yet when I did a search on google, a lot of hits came up with Mushkin PC3200 DDR-400 Cas 2-2-2-5.

I may put it in and see what it'll do if that's the case.

I bought Twinmos PC3200, model TMII 400 and are NOT winbond.
here is some info:

This only have one dot at bottom right. They perform only as high as 235 no matter what juice u give them. I tried from 2.8 to 3.5 and won'0t go any higher then 235. This new Twinmos perform a lot worse and not UTT chips
