Klisp I'm glad your speed premium worked out. I'm at 262 still with the 50d's. I am anxious to see how shroomalistic's sticks do since its the same date and same kit I have. That was such a good deal and they are still in stock. I met a art dealer in florida while I was at the art fair and I told him about my computer addiction. He has this crappy sony laptop and it sucks. I said give me a check for $1000 and I'll build a sick system. so far this is what I got for him.
one the many 939 boards I'll throw one in when Im done with the review so it could be
    most likely the VNF4 ultra
    zalman 7000B sink $31.00
    VGA ABIT|RADEONX600PRO-128 PCIE $96.80)
CODEGEN Black ATX Mid-Tower Case, Model "C-6209-CA-38C-W$32.00) (won the anandtech value case shootout)
    TWINMOS DUAL 512MBX2 DDR PC-3200 $137.75)
    HD 300GB|MAXTOR NCQ 6B300S0 SATAII $188.00)
    CPU AMD 64 |3000+ ATHLON 64 939P $149.00)

    OCZ POWERSTREAM 420w $100
    SAMSUNG 1.44MB BLACK FLOPPY DRIVE Model# SFD321B/LBL - OEM $6
    PANAFLO CASE FANS. $10

video card is crap, but this is not a gamer. i think this is a pretty nice rig for 1K imo.

i plan to test the sticks and take the highest ones for myself. ill mix them up with the current 50Ds I have. cherry picked.

heres a 2001se bench withh everything set to medium and video is at stock. I should break 30k easily once I oc the card. this is a x850xt pe vmodded

here are some more info from me

tref if set to auto it's 3072
my UTT seem to be realy TRFC sensitive. going from 15->16 i got 2MHz more!
so the settings im using to get memtest#5 stable (for 268DC @ 3.4V) are now

    2-2-5-7-16-2-2-1-1-auto-3072-Enable
    auto-0-auto-Level 4-7ns-4ns-16x-4x-16cycles

    hope you understand my timmings

have some pictures of benches and tests
the memtest picture is of my WONDER dimm doing Single channel @ 3.3V

    Have fun!

sorry off topic/ the guy is sharing the computer with 3 people and needs tons of storage. I was going to put 2 120's in raid 0, but it ended up being a little cheaper per gig. with the maxtor 300gb and it has NCQ. so that's another bonus.
the power supply is actually something I really think is important. i'm a psu snob and it is the keys to the system. Your system is only as good as the psu thats powering it. I guess I could've gotten on fortron 530, but id rather give my business to ocz. they are the whole reason for this thread in the first place.

well done trans am i put my older 420w powerstream in my moms 2800xp rig i wanted her to have the best!

i am in the process of trying every tref setting @ 3.48 vdimm 262 mhz 512x1 with my tightest timeings.. i will be letting it run in memtest86 for 5 passes to see if i get errors. then i will go into sandra and test for bandwith

i will be posting my findings for all of you to enjoy. also rab* i will hit up your thread with my findings..
tref seems to be the key to my stability and performance.

timeings in dfi UT bios are 200-1T-2-2-10-2-9-15-auto-2-1-2-x-auto-increase skew-255-lev2-dynamic counter enabled-rest set to auto

Klisp, try it disabled AND enabled... some guys simply CAN NOT run enabled and maintain stability but if you can it will boost bandwidth a fair amount.
    SuperPI 32mb (Interleaving OFF) 10x260 = 31m
    SuperPI 32mb (Interleaving ON) 10x264 = 29m

esdee, yeah modules actually start laying bricks if I set Trfc below 15, so that is where I leave it... but I havent tested how Trfc 16 would effect my memtest stability yet. I'll do some testing soon as I can... thanks for the heads up dude.

acid, that'd be sweet bro! cant wait for your results... it means I dont have to test as much myself hehehehe
I'll put your findings on the first page of the Voltage Scaling thread when you're done...
Could you do it in this format... for each Tref:
Find max Memtest for 3-5 loops of test #5
    Get Sandra Bandwidth
    and wotever else you want...

If we know roughly how many MHz we gain, AND the performance impact, it will make tuning these badboys a sheeeet load easier

[EDIT] acid... do you gain MHz by going from Trc=7 to Trc=9? I dont seem to gain anything... well, I didnt with Tras=10 but things may be dif now.

Well I tried my best last night to get something worthwhile out of my 2x256 Speed premium and have conceeded defeat.

The 1.36Bitpower bios this help stability to the degree that it would last more than 20seconds in windows at 250fsb @ anywhere between 3.2 and 3.4volts - anything higher or lower resulted in BSOD either during or after boot.

I've memtested the ram clean at 260fsb at 3.5v, but doing anything realistic is a joke. My FX-55 can handle 280HTT 1:1 with my gig of Gskill so I know that isn't the culprit. The other possibility is that my OCZ booster is the junk that it looks like. I'm not interested in trying for anything less than 250 x-2-2-2 as it would still be slower than my TCCD @ 280 2.5-3-3-7.

I'm tempted to put this ram down to experience as a good memtest toy but worth nothing in real terms.

I may give it one last chance by doing the 3.3vio mod and controlling the voltage with my PSUs pot. But unless it starts playing at 250+ then, it's going into my business computer to allow me to sell my EB thats in there.

ok i got the first set done sorry bro but if i got through and find the max stable for each setting that would take forever
eventually i will complete the task though.. for now this is what i got

    1552 5pass 0 errors 35s/4048
    2064 5pass 0 errors no/4061
    2592 5pass 2 errors no/4070
    3120 5pass 0 errors no/4077

    3632 5pass 4 errors no/4080
    4128 5pass 4 errors 35s/4083
    4672 5pass 5 errors no/4084
    0064 5pass 0 errors 36s/3259

    0776 5pass 12 errors 35s/3984
    1032 5pass 16 errors no/4010
    1296 5pass 16 errors no/4029
    1560 5pass 8 errors 34s/4054

ok this is the it for now.
i will be doing the last set l8tr
    all of these are @ 262 3.48vdimm 1T 1:1

    tref-test5-errors-superPI-sandra bandwith

ok this also reinforces my theory last night rab*.
notice that the lower tref in each set shows lower bandwith when paired against the rest of its set?
also i can pass memetest86 x5 no prob on some but superPI is no go

I don't have A64 tweaker as the download link has been broken since I did my re-installation. All I know is I was using trying 5-2-2-2 and 6-2-2-2.

There is also a A64Tweaker download in the VX/UTT Voltage Scaling thread.

GazC, make sure Trfc is 15 or higher... and play around with Tras, Tras=8 works very well for me in terms of stability.

acid... sheeet bro that's awesome! keep it up.. and then when you done go and find max MHz, and then when you done, go and test EVERY other timing and do the same, and then when you're done, tell me the best timings and I will do no testing wot-so-ever
For real tho, cheers dude... look forward to the rest of your testing.

All I can set in the bios is cas latency, ras to cas, ras precharge and tras. Are there any Windows tools, to set ram timings and stuff for nforce2 mainboards?

    Hello all.

I'm just another Intel user who's unfortunate to see this ram working on my rig

Could each one of you (Intel users) posts your information from 865/875 Tweaker? Cauze i'm very interesting how come it works on some and fails on another...

    my data:
    asus p4p800-e DELUXE
    P4 2.6C
    2x512 AA4T/44D twinmos

the far I could go is 240 2.5-3-2-7 (yea...whacky timings) with 3.2V memtest #5 about 20 errors, but stable for games in windows.

3-2-2-8 .... 8 errors ( a few less then on "my" timings) but still bad

3-3-3-8 .... again 8 errors, looks like only CAS setting effects stability of OC?

    2-x-x-x above 213mhz no BOOT.

PS, i've bought this rame from TEDY so they supposed to work 250 2-2-2-5 ...

TEDY ran them on nF2 DFI I think... you can not compare RAM performance accurately across platforms bro.

That RAM will do 255+ on A64 I am pretty sure
