You are using a 9.5 multiplier, meaning you ram isnt really running at 260, rather 247.

Yeah, never use .5 multi. just find the ram's max, then max your htt past 300+ and use divider if you can't run cpu at 2.6ghz.

I said, has anyone gotten bad sticks that *WON'T* do 260+ higher. I said this because the BH sticks can do 250 without a hitch. I was looking to see if these sticks could do more than that meaning 260+ is my aim and goal. I was wondering if anyone obtained any sticks that could NOT do 260+ but infact lower. Who said 260 was bad?

don't despair, there will be people to willing to do dirty work for you of going to fry's and get it for you as well as some used sticks down the line as usual. Actually this makes getting good memory easier now :P

I mean 2.5 2.6 whatever as long as it is on the low side. With auto, you are never quite 100% sure of where you are starting from.

yes, but Fry's is famous for people continuously taking back less than stellar overclocking hardware and then reselling it again.

Even if it's only at Frys, he said that's only until the end of the year. Not that far away really. I do agree that it's lame, but it isn't any reason to not buy the VX when it is available, the stuff is golden.
