With prescott processors (atleast C0-stepping to my knowledge) it is not possible to give it more than 1.6V (selected from BIOS). The system won't boot up. With the mod you can fry your prescott if you want to. It doesn't matter how much you are giving it, as long as it's 1.6 V or less selected from BIOS. Plain "software issue".
Btw: I also got a 2.8A in but that was a CO stepping and it is a POS, It won't oc.
So I'm trying to sell this one and hoping that the next one will be a better clocker.
