Very nice Dumo. Always enjoy looking at you overclocking results. Would put a "thanks" up, but it seems to have disappeared.

Thanks Madd
Did you test yours?
Is that 4.8 under water cooling Dumo. If so very impressive.
Awesome. That's is some mighty impressive Ram you have there. 1472Mhz
I see you are using the 0208 bios. Is that a pre release version to help with overclocking.

Same as 0403 retail release bios

Hi guys,
Just build a system with the Asus x79 deluxe + I7 4930k system... but got a strange problem...
Yesterday no problem, all is installed fine and the mb is working perfectly.. but when i have wanted to start the system this morning, impossible to boot. all i have is a nice Q error code: " 61 ". impossible to go further in boot. I suspect a bios corruption.., if i folllow the manual it seems this is the nvram initialisation code.
Allready tried a CMOS reset, ubuild all cable and try again, different DDR3 in case this was coming from a bad stick.. still the same.

CPU: - I7 4930K (EK Supremacy )
GPU: - 2x AMD HD7970 flashed GHZ bios ( EK Acetal Nickel Waterblock H2o)
Motherboard: Asus x79 Deluxe
RAM: G-skill Ares C9 2133mhz 16GB
Main Storage: Samsung 840EVO 500GB / 2x Crucial RealSSD C300 Raid0
Did you try a full reset by pulling the battery and moving the jumper?
The only reason I say this is because there a few rare times on my old amd here where I needed a full cmos reset instead of the button on the back.
99% of the time the clear cmos button works.
The only thing I could suggest otherwise is to break it back down and try to trouble shoot it more.
Other then that try the usb bios flashback.
Thanks you Neo for your response.. well i have allready try clear the bios with all the possibility i know, so this let just the flashback solution.
Edit:
Well, i have retest the board, allways the same.. i will rma the mb monday ....

@Lanek Did you try boot with single ram? Use memok
Yes... and hit memok and let hit try boot and reboot again for set the right safe setting.. but it never pass this "61" code. The most funny is the day before, when i have install the new system ( mb + new CPU ). no problem at all, i have even been able to reinstall windows, download the drivers, install some.. well nothing particular, .( no time to test it more than that, as i was need to go work really early in the morning. .. back to home, i just power on the pc, and it reboot after 3-4 seconds.. then.. it have stay at this " 61 " code during boot ( my rams stick are perfectly fine ( i have rebuild my P67 sys for test all component again ( PSU, rams etc all is working perfectly. )
I have unbuild the mb ofc, and then retest it, outside the box, with different hardware, physically the mb look totally right ( no problem on the socket, nothing ). In general when i got a killed mb, you power on the system, and after 1 second the system shut down... there no.. it start dont reboot, just stay on like that.. you get the feeling the pc is working, but it dont finish the inital boot sequence. ( 61 Q code = Nvram is initialised ( who should be the initalisation of the bios ram if im right. )
Really really strange.. anyway, i rma it, and i hope be more lucky this time.

I had that issue on my first rive lane i just gave it a massage around the socket area and ram traces and it would work.....sometimes without quad channel but it would make it passed the 61 code.
Ok i am playing with a 4930k and when i try over 1.60v it says overvoltage error? what setting am i missing?

I am looking for a all in one temp monitoring and PWM control software for my Rampage IV Black Edition. Speedfan was a flop, caused my system to reboot (Win 8.1).
I was impressed with AI suite but I would like more control than the over settings in the Fan Xpert 2 utility, I am water-cooling my system and running my pumps at 100% if I hit 75C seems problematic (It will just dump more heat into the loop). Also the CPU temperature in the Dual Intellegent Processors 4 seems very optimistic and I cannot correlate those temperatures in any other software I have used (HWMonitor & Coretemp)
Is there any way to edit this hard limit of 100% PWM once the CPU hits 75C and what is this CPU temp being reported from?

The temp used for fan control is an offset of the DTS - so it's not supposed to be used for gauging absolute CPU temp. The offset is used to control the fan slope from being too fast etc.
There is no way to edit the hard limits, you can adjust the variables below that point however (whatever the software allows).

Bad news, look like this the cpu who is dead finally.. the deluxe cant be rma soon enough, so i have take a P9 x79 cheap mobo in wait.. same thing happend with it.. like the only common factor is the cpu.. look like it is the 4930k who is dead or Asus have some real problem with new Ivy Bridge E .

For the first one: ( X79 deluxe ( new version ), it was "61" ( with the ram on the right D1 slots ), 63 if i put the ram in a slots on the left of the cpu .. for the second board, the Asus P9X79 ( the standard version ).. the board have no led for error code, only bip sound. but there's no beep at all. Im a bit lost, i have test all other hardware pieces, tried different gpus , tried 3 different PSU, 3 Kits of DDR ( only one ram at once ) ... The only thing i cant test right now is another CPU.
really strange: - Power on > all is powered normally > ( gpu run ( fan is on ) > CPU cooler ( intel "Asetek" stock H2o ) is on > video = no signal .. and the system stay to run like that. without never enter the boot process. ( the system dont reboot or stop after some second or some hour ).. ( in case you ask, the monitor is good, it is right new 27" and i use it right now ). Outside the cpu ( i admit this is extremely rarefull to have one fresh new cpu dead like that ( retail box, coming from a shop, not an ebayed one ). )

I need help regarding rma on Asus Sabertooth X79.
The issue:
Bought a new IvyBridge based Xeon ( e5-2690 V2 ) so needed a new bios. I flashed the converter rom with EZ Flash, then restarted and did his thingy, after that turned off by itself. I turned my computer on, then shocked I noticed that the motherboard is not posting. Itself the motherboard or bios it seems undamaged, because I can flash any .cap firmware with flashback, but I cannot make it working. I tried any scenario..even with a single stick of ram, just to exclude ram issues. The same thing with any of my CPU....I tried both..the SB-E and IB-E as well..
Here comes the real problem: I bought this motherboard on eBay exactly 2 years ago from another end user ( 185 GBP ), in perfect condition with box and all the bits, who forgot to give me the invoice given by retailer. This motherboards have 5 years manufacturer warranty, so I should be on warranty period. Asus rejected my RMA application simply because I have no copy of invoice given by retailer. I can prove my ownership by showing my purchase history, but is not accepted as well. I thought that warranty is related to serial number, not to an invoice. Invoice can be lost over the time, but not a serial number........ What now? Can anyone tell me a working solution? I am really sad about how Asus is treating its loyal customers...
What the error, is giving you the Qcode led ?
