I'll grab a few later when I have time. Just cut a rectangle hole into the shroud between the gpu heatsinks and taped that fan into the hole pretty much. Nothing special, just fresh air for the second gpu.

I was going to duct it with the fan laying down but got lazy.

all the gtx780 at ple are $850+ other than a palit card at $739
if the first bf4 pre order prices are under $800au then id say $650-700au is in with a fair chance once normal stock appears

AMD better evolve their bundles or I'll go green this time

Guys, AMD hasn't released the official msrp. If I'm not mistaken they've released something like 3000 pre-order bundles world wide. So retailers are just gouging.

Just like with every launch that I can remember don't go by pre-order prices. I am always shocked that some of you guys who have been here for at least as long as me post those pre-order prices and go "omg xxxx is going to be so expensive". It happens on every launch without fail.

You cannot base a card's normal retail price by random retailer pre-order prices. EVER.

I never trust pre-order prices especially in my country where pre-order price of iphone 5s 16gb in some places was 1000Euro.

I'm happy to see gpus bundled with decent games again for a change... Last bundled game I liked was YEARS ago when ATI had their HL2 / steam bundle. More than not included games have just no longer been included to cut costs for the board partners. Trouble is the prices didn't drop for the customers as a result more than not.

All in all AMDs aggressive push to better their developer relations has gotten Nvidia attention. Mere months ago Nvidia only offered free to play game credit... now they are at least trying to match AMDs offers.

Tell me Sony/Microsoft, is your PS4/Xbox One including a nice handful of games with purchase... I'm waiting *crickets*

Remember the Asus 7970 directcu ii? they didn't use a reference pcb so you couldn't flash the GHz bios onto it...and then it turned out they used "bad" voltage regulators so you couldn't give it much more voltage.

Bundle wars are cool, I just bought two 7970s and got $40 back by selling the game bundle...that's guaranteed $ back, unlike a rebate.

Custom case laser cut from a 3/16" thick sheet of brushed Aluminum 8"x80" & cold formed into a box then anodized black with 1/2" Poly-carbonate side panels..[.fully modular, all aluminum mounting brackets, HD bays, and mobo tray are removable...down to the bare box

you can increase the v a lot i had my 7970dc2t up to 1.45v with software verified with a multimeter trouble is it made no difference to clock speeds vs 1180mv it still topped out at 1204mhz and this was the typical result with this card so they bodged somthing
many of the 79#0dc2 models were totally voltage locked against software adjustment though which is a really thing to do
the heatplate on the card only half contacted ~3 memory chips the rest it made no contact even with thick pads and tightening it wouldnt help it just didnt fit the card

Newegg USA has R9 290X listed from 4 vendors, but no price. All listed as coming soon - auto notify.
All have Battlefield 4 game included, limited offer.

Newegg Canada has the same listing.

Edit, the R9 290 are also listed

I didn't know the NDA on both cards does not end at the same time. Guess because there was not much rumors about the R9 290 or I was not looking for them.
