Notice you can add to cart so its available and it has 2880 shaders. So it's there.

Heres more specifics on the specs.

Funnily enough, it is nowhere on Nvidia's website in the Quadro section.
You can't buy it from any of their advertised "partners."

It still stands though, you can't say Titan is based on a Quadro when the Quadro didn't hit the market until very recently.

Edit- They do seem to have it in stock though, interesting.
I called since adding it to your cart doesn't mean it is available, easily could be back ordered or waiting for delivery/shipment.

What the R9 290X does possibly offer is Titan like performance at a price point more attainable for some, in addition to technology not offered by the competition regardless of the fact that It remains to be seen if that technology becomes popular.
This IS the appropriate video card to release at the time despite that you believe its "8 months late"

If I do remember the launch of the Titan, it was widely regarded as a Niche product and ridiculous at 1000 dollars. Nobody including Nvidia anticipated that gamers and enthusiast were willing to open their wallets as willingly as they did and as I understand it the video card outsold expectations. That being said the fact that Amd could respond in as little as 8 months on the same node NOT relying on a cut down professional Gpu that was easily adapted, before the launch of the next node so the card remains relevant is to be applauded.

And another thing, just because pendant 1 simply proclaims something "=BS" does not add validity to the argument or somehow make it true.
Both True Audio and Mantle will stand on their own and will fail or succeed on their own merits and not because you say so. I invite you to share your wealth of knowledge on the subject otherwise because there is no place in this discussion for a claim like that to be made "because I said so"

Please do understand that the benchmarks results have NOT been taken at Guru3D setups. These systems have been created by AMD. Our actual review will (soon) will show everything you need to know based on our own test results.

Wow that is a terrible way to navigate to the specific products...

Partner's listed in their press release, Dell, HP, etc.

so the guru3d page says that those test systems in the article have been supplied by AMD... yet they are Intel 2011 chips... while I understand the reasoning am I the only one who finds it the least bit ironic?

That does seem a bit odd. Perhaps they did this for the "wow" factor of having higher overall scores for both cards, or for impartiality they had a third party handle it.
They may want to show they are not somehow "cheating" by running their hardware with their card.

Most of the press review gpus primarily on Intel platforms... simple as that. AMD want their new product to appear in as positive light possible.

I'm finding all the hoopla coming out about pushing for 2160p quite funny though. They show single gpu performance here as a marketing point and thats a strange one... last time I checked someone purchasing a top of the line display ( ie bleeding edge ) would be the same kind of customer who has no problem buying 2 or more high end gpus. Shelling out a few grand for a display for the purpose of gaming and *only* spending 500-600 on a gpu is messed up. Enough games can't be maxed out on a single gpu at 1440P let alone 2160P. Marketing Much more interesting would be the dual and tri results at 2160P. I'm all for high dot pitch but not at the cost of low performance.

My opinions on TrueSound and Mantle.

TrueSound is a trial. It doesn't mean much today but AMD will see how it effects the market and also will think if they can improve it to a meaningful level. In this series AMD just put it in to prepare us to next level if they decided to continue this. For making us get used to name and the concept.

Mantle has a chance imo. What they are trying to do is very good especially to us. What they need is i little more push for making some good games use mantle and give mantle free to every manufacturer like nvidia, unlike nvidia did with physx. This mantle may change everything for good. Lots of different ideas comes to mind which it can lead to.

So subtract what, 10%? Never trust numbers from IHV, be it AMD or Nvidia or Intel

Yes amd is doing right moves on gpu side for a while but it is not close enough to threaten nvidia in short time. so no need for nvidia fans to be panic this much.

AMD launched a new arc (HD5000), Nvidia was late.
AMD did a refresh (HD6000) even before Nvidia was able to launch a full working fermi.
AMD launched a new arc (HD7000), nvidia was late, full working Kepler even later.
AMD did a refresh... where's maxwell? oh i know woodscrew edition is going pop out Q1 2014

Your rationale is priceless. I guess AMD was late with HD 6000 too, i mean it launched 6 months after fermi!!! It wasn't fermi that was late! It was AMD!!! I guess you think AMD should have always a new arch ready for when Nvidia releases it's new late arc, even if they just released theirs a couple months ago, because that makes sense!
As I said, it comes down to competition. We can argue until eternity what exactly constitutes a refresh and what doesn't, but in the end, it is irrelevant for the market and the consumers. They are interested in competing products. And the fact is, AMD had no competition for Titan or for the 780 for 5-8 months just like Nvidia didn't have a competing product against the 5870 for 6 months.

And btw, what time difference is needed for a product being "late" in your opinion? 1 month, 2, 6?

At 4K max. setting The resolution, do the fps are extremely low, and whatever all cards will struggle on Bioshsock with ultra setting vs medium http://www.anandtech.com/show/7424/a...shock-infinite

Its funny, something with 4K resolution results do remind me 2560x1600 resolution some years back...

    Very high preset.

Those 4K benches look pretty cool. At the same time they also show that it won't be practical to game on that resolution with one card. Also, I wonder: is the 780 memory limited at that resolution?

Possibly in some cases. But with Sleeping Dogs I rather suspect that AMD forgot to enable SSAA on their card.

Yeah, those are good gains, question is does it translate to 2560 resolutions, assuming the #s, being from manufacturer, are close to accurate.
