I know you are under NDA. but has AMD revealed the price of R9 290X and R9 290 to the press yet or is that still not decided. As a matter of principle AMD should have told retailers not to accept any bookings or pre-orders until the embargo is lifted. some like ocuk are promising a full refund of the deposit if you change your mind after seeing launch pricing and perf. But I don't understand the whole purpose of this at all.

also will BF4 beta find a place in your GPU test suite. given its one of the biggest titles this holiday and buyers would like to know how R9 290X performs in BF4 or maybe we can look forward to a BF4 benchmarking article on the latest cards after the launch of the game in Oct end / early Nov.
Why would amd price it at $599 if it pants the titan? This is a business after all

Performance, power consumption and price were not given to reviewers.
BF4 Beta will not be added to the test suite due to my refusal to use A) Beta versions of games B) a game whose performance is currently tied at the hip to an internet connection. It will be added (single player) to the new testing suite in December which will also include a full test system refresh (IVB-E, Win8.1, etc.).
k. so i am guessing the new testing suite will focus more on 2013 games. Some of the recent and upcoming games worth considering are Arma III, BF4, Watch Dogs as they are few of the most demanding games . Games in your existing suite like Crysis 3, Tombraider could be retained as they too are demanding.

Ha ha, I wouldn't buy a Saphire card even if they were the only ones to make an R9 290x. Every Sapphire card I have had has been the worst overclocker.... And now somebody claims that every Sapphire card they have ever had was the best overclocker in the world.
Well, my experience is Sapphire NO!
Custom case laser cut from a 3/16" thick sheet of brushed Aluminum 8"x80" & cold formed into a box then anodized black with 1/2" Poly-carbonate side panels..[.fully modular, all aluminum mounting brackets, HD bays, and mobo tray are removable...down to the bare box

It is really funny to see all the comparisons to Titan. Titan is mostly targeted at collectors and CUDA developers, not gamers, hence the price.
Titan is not out there to compete with anything, and it is not designed to be priced competitively.
You should be looking at GTX 780 instead.
Agree, the High end target for Enthousiast is 500$, Ultra Enthousiast 600$, no more.
For more $, to have some interest, you have compute usage ( not graphic ), large amount of ram usage for rendering.
Otherwise, interest is loooooooooow.
I dont believe Titan is a commercial success. It's just the top of the frame, and no more.
No longer. It's reign is over.
I, for one, thought those benchmark results shown were fake and actually lower than shown. Turns out the exact opposite is true. Well played, AMD, bloody well played.

How well does memory overclock? Stock frequency seems to be very conservative.
and what you expected? Lower performance then Titan? If will be true, absolute useless card for new generation and High end. New card HAVE TO beat last highest model, if not, it is...
