Thanks nickshih! Yes I also found another user rolling daily with 4770K @ 4.8GHz and DDR3-2800 on his Extreme6 so seems pretty capable board for 24/7 usage OCs. I'm no extreme clocker and just planning to max out OC on air (Phanteks bigass cooler beating the cheaper Corsair WC kits marginally which I hope fits this board, well I guess I will find out). Going for 4670K.
My OC satisfaction would go roughly:
4.3GHz: Dissappointed
4.4GHz: Slightly dissappointed
4.5GHz: Satisfied
4.6GHz(+): Extremely satisfied! (4.6GHz would be cool OC in this sense Extreme6, 4670K)
Too bad I'm the unlucky guy always recieving slightly worse samples, my expectation is like I'd be maxing out at like 4.4GHz 1.23~1.25v.
Extreme6 draw my attention because:
- Best onboard audio solution ALC1150 with two decent opamps for 115dB SNR powering up to 600 ohm
- Dual Gigabit Intel NICs
- 10x SATA ports (will probably be using up to like 9 ports)
- Onboard cmos/reset buttons + debug led
- The waterproof coating is neat but not uberimportant but I keep my comp without any case lying next to my desk so spilling something by accident it could possibly provide some protection
- The most features for smallest price => good bang-for-buck. (lowest price in Germany about 163 EUR!)
