my first I7 3770K died after a year on the day.
it was the memory controller, got a new RMA, but the new had an error, also in memory controller, so I got a new one again.

the new run the wPrime 1024 at 1.288vcore 4.6GHZ
Pll 1.733v load temp max 56c watercooling
    asus maximus v extreme P67

    all cstat disablel

    Batch L230B6

uses a new BIOS 3604 on my Maximus IV Extreme P67 so I need to find the voltset again, only test bios for 2 days now

    opdat
vcore jump ,ned 1.36v to 4.7GHZ wprime 1024

Looks like you got more temperature room for extra 100-200 Mhz.

no man till i see a batch stable 5Ghz HT on water but for me i have all with this rig nonsense to move for just a lit more performance, even having beastly 2800CL11-13mem that could run 3000 stable on haswell

    Hello...

Just got some new stuff in for a build (been on Mac for several years now). The i5 3570k I have is 3242B829, does anyone have any comments about this chip?

My hope is to do 4.5 ghz stable with minimal voltage changes, using an asrock Z77 extreme4 and a corsair H80. Any input would be appreciated.

OK here we are December 2013, going to put in i3570k on a asroc 77oc in a box with watercooling. My question is should I just go straight to delidding and watercool or should I leave the lid on and go to fan or water cool first to see if the chip is reasonable??

I think you should check it 1st, see if it works before you go de-lidding it.

Thanks NEOAether, I came to the same conclusion and ordered a decent fan

I was wondering, all the threads just seem to talk about multiplier, its been a few years but I would push Bclock first and then max out multiplier -is that not done anymore? The "world record" vid (LN2) shows the guy going to Bclk 110 right off the bat, don't see anything like that posted here- is Bclk hard to push on these chips or just not worth the trouble?

I would test both max speed and chip IMC for high ram speeds, high bclk is always nice with the right ram though can be tough to find with reg cooling but they are out there. I had a solid 3770K that could do about 108 and clock to about 5400 on remote water cooling. Unfortunately I binned a lot of chips before that one came up and sold it back in may.

Well this is a pleasant surprise! Never had an easier OC: - 3570k on an asrock77oc mobo with an inexpensive corsair cooler - only added a second fan. stable at 4.6 GHz with a nice low voltage of 1.24. It really is as easy as setting the multiplier and cpu voltage in bios, wow. I stop at max core of 70C, did get to 4.7G at 1.4v but not worth the sudden increase in heat! Hopefully the validation pic will insert here, anyway it was a costa rica chip so they must have gotten their thermal paste spreading figured out.

Got everything I need for water again, wonder if I can gain much?? Any thoughts??
