I didn't see any DX12 rumors, only rumors of a. OCd 680s b. Titan LE c. Titan Ultra.
None of those would be DX12. OTOH, all of those (especially the latter) would sell very well. More variants of the Titan line would pretty much lock down the high end for NVIDIA as all AMD has for the rest of the year is 7970 and it's VERY difficult to generate excitement/sales for 18 month old parts.
The GPU market has morphed into the CPU market with AMD taking the "We're number two but good enough for gaming and a darn good value!" stance.
Sad that it has come to this. I remember when building a gaming rig I used to evaluate the cards based on PowerVR, 3DFX, NVIDIA, ATi, S3, Rendition, and Matrox chips.![]()
