LN? mode+Extreme OV enabled for >1.92v didn't do much to help unfortunately. I was hoping for 2x4GB 32M stability at 2400 C8 or C9.

1866CL9 kits are much better and some kits are better than other. You could buy 3-4kits until you found a very good one.
I will post soon some results on AMD.

This is from a kit of 2x8GB Ballistix Elite 1866C9 I picked up locally. There are D9PQL and D9QLR chips on the same module.
These sticks seem to have a hard VDIMM wall at 1.72v. Higher than that and they don't even want to boot.

Revisited this post since I didn't believe they were Micron at the time; looking at the stickers on the modules, the part numbers end in 16FMR so they were indeed D9PFJ.

How much are these going for at Fry's now?

NM...looked it up. Online pricing says $55, but only available at local B&M.

Sometime last summer they had these for $40, plus $4 S/H. That was a heck of a good grab back then.

They should be the same, only difference is that your are a dual kit and his are two individual modules...look closer at his packaging and you'll see that there are two of them.

His model number is for a single module.

    Here you go...from the Egg.

Well at least I can get two sticks to pass Super Pi 1M at 2400 9-9-9. Still not impressed that with this much voltage I can't pass 32M.

All the new 2GB sticks are single-sided, since he has a 16FMR kit those should be D9PFJ.
