If every member bought a 7950 or two, we could top 2ch easily. We only need about 35 more 7950 crunching 24/7 to beat them.

Nah it's just that if I remember right, ATI cards are better at WCG?

If I remember right this is the reason they don't match. Free-DC is only showing boinc points and world community grid wasn't always part of boinc. So WCG is showing points from before and after joining boinc.

You are both correct. The Free-DC overtake estimate is based on the credits reported by WCG, which doesn't include the UD points.

Both Free-DC and BOINCStats have a shortfall of ~ 5M in (total credits * 7) vs. WCG total points for the IBM team so the overtake they are computing is based on incomplete data.

I should have done the math but I took the easy way out and did a copy/paste. My best guess is that it's more like 2-3 weeks to overtake IBM.

I apologize for the error and will stop posting the overtake estimate!

Excellent congratulations, beating IBM is no small feat. You can very well compensate when I am on holiday. I had the feeling that you had all fallen a little asleep.
Hope SAM does not take holiday at the same time

Man, makes me want to go get the 7850 I've seen on sale. I just wish we knew if there were going to be more HCC and/or other GPU projects in the near future. Because if it was certain that there would be no new projects the rest of the year I"d concentrate on finishing a build and/or getting a refurbed workstation the next time I see a deal.
    Desktop rigs:
    Oysterhead- Intel i5-2320 CPU@3.0Ghz, Zalman 9500AT2, 8Gb Patriot 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM, 120Gb Kingston V200+ SSD, 1Tb Seagate HD, Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon 64 bit, LG 330W PSU

    Flying Frog Brigade-Intel Xeon W3520@2.66Ghz, 6Gb Hynix 1066Mhz DDR3 RAM, 640Gb Hitachi HD, 512Mb GDDR5 AMD HD4870, Mac OSX 10.6.8/Linux Mint 14 Cinnamon dual boot

Well, its a used 1Gb 7850 from a private seller in the area. Otherwise I would.

However, if memory serves there are deals on the 2Gb versions:
