    There are very few scenarios where a triple-pump setup should even be considered.....

    Few things to consider with multi-pump setups:

    1) More pumps = more heatdump
    2) More pumps = higher flowrate
    2a) Higher flowrate = more heatdump
    3) The components cooled by GPU/MOSFET/RAM/NB/etc blocks don't need every last degree, so how they scale with flowrate is irrelevant.
    3a) Radiator performance doesn't scale much with flowrates past .5-1.5GPM, depending on the radiator (and airflow).
    4) CPU blocks, by and large, don't have much scaling past 1.4-2.0GPM, depending on the block.
    5) Increasing radiators also requires you increase 'cold air' input (adding radiator(s) to your loop at your case exhaust when you already have radiator(s) at your air intake does not provide much thermal benefit, if any at all)

    It's a really big uphill battle to get much thermal performance gains when you even go past a single pump.

    If you consider a moderate-high restriction loop, the heatdump from a single DDC3.2 at ~1.2GPM is like ~13W, heatdump from dual DDC3.2 at ~1.7GPM is ~29W, heatdump from triple DDC3.2s at ~2.05GPM is ~45W. That 16W may not sound like much from going from dual to triple, but depending on your loop, it's actually pretty likely you'll see zero thermal gain because of it.

    With a low restriction loop, say a loop with a single DDC3.2 at 1.8GPM, the initial heatdump is ~14.3W....going to dual you get ~2.54GPM and ~34W of heatdump.....going to triple you get ~3.1GPM and ~60W of heatdump. That's a lot of extra heat....and the flowrates were already pretty darn high.

    All-in-all, only the most restrictive and capable of loops (in terms of radiator power) should even consider going to triple pumps....

    Hmm, heat dump a important factor to consider.

    Thinking of running 2 D5's serial, more rad. or slightly higher fan speed is the trade off for better flow/pressure, + redundancy advantages.

    So in general - in most cases single ddc should be enough, to go for dual for redundancy or if flow less then 1gpm, and tripples just for bling and e-penuz?

    Why bother to get 3 355's only to under volt them when 2 350's are (realistically) more than enough for most loops and are a tad quieter with less heat dump, although after seeing your topic, 2 3.25's would be fine with a EK dual top. . .btw, to get max flow, a loop needs to be set up with the pumps in parallel, whereas serial gives max pressure. With your loop, you'll want serial.

    I wonder when we will see quad tops for iwaki-s & koolance's PMP-500. Every LC loop should have >3gpm flow
