With regards to the Asus Maximus V Gene's QVL (Qualified Vendors List) the memory listed at the 2400 speed are all 4 GHz modules. I'm looking at getting 16 GB of memory. The TridentX comes as both a 4x4 GB kit and a 2x8 GB kit. I had thought that it was easier to OC a board with less memory modules in it. Could someone please enlighten me. The timings are the same for both of these kits. The price of the 2x8 GB kit is also cheaper than the 4x4 GB kit. Why wouldn't the 2 module kit work just as well and why wouldn't the Qualified Vendors List list this?
