Stoneageman and Movieman, you are all on steroïds or what. I have not noticed that new CPU's with 48 cores and running at 10 GHz were available.
Seems trn-x disappeared from the pie. After having posted so many points and for so long hope he will be back. Either trying to keep up with you he melt down his distributed liquid cooling system, or he is proceeding in secrecy to a major overhaul and will be back much more powerful.

I should be able to join you all in GPU glory soon, been working 12 hour days just need a minute to get everything "caught up" so I can get these windows boxes setup! Great work BTW guys, really impressive numbers - I know how many CPU cores I've got going and it's over 30, so this is a huge jump from the GPUs.
    Current: AMD Threadripper 1950X @ 4.2GHz / EK Supremacy/ 360 EK Rad, EK-DBAY D5 PWM, 32GB G.Skill 3000MHz DDR4, AMD Vega 64 Wave, Samsung nVME SSDs
    Prior Build: Core i7 7700K @ 4.9GHz / Apogee XT/120.2 Magicool rad, 16GB G.Skill 3000MHz DDR4, AMD Saphire rx580 8GB, Samsung 850 Pro SSD

I'm just wondering what would happen if SAM put a second rig running on this.

What do you have SAM? 1 rig, 4 x 7970 cards each running 4 instances???

I completely forgot that now we can crunch with GPU HCC. Now I understand why there is such a jump in the scoring system. I immediately have put an Asus Nvidia GTX 680 board at work. Let's se how that goes.
If this test works well this winter will be hellish. Many of my GPU boards were waiting for this moment.
    Tally ho

There is so much that can be done with GPU and when properly implemented HUGE numbers can be done with low electrical use.

This. I hope other projects see what's happened with this speed up and jump on board - If we can go almost full GPUs with just a little CPU to fall back on, it makes compact farming a real possibility.

I'm thinking, get permission to run 1 box at work... 1 at school... and then just make them 1200W boxes!
