So , anyone managed to run high clocks with these sticks on a Z77x-ud3/5 board ?? I thought that the F10X bios had fixed the issue , but yesterday i tried it with no luck . Even with F14 no go .
Wall is still at 2200Mhz .

    We're discussing HYK0, not HCH9.
HCH9 has already been proven as a strong overclocking chip and has been used in high-end kits from G.Skill, Corsair and the like for quite a while now, while these HYK0 chips are only found on Samsung sticks(afaik) and just sort of appeared out of nowhere nearly a year ago and were almost immediately found to have massive overclocking headroom. With a strong IMC and a decent set of these HYK0 sticks, a few people have pushed this 1.35V 1600MHz RAM to 2800. Pretty impressive for RAM that costs ~$45 USD for two 4GB sticks, huh?
Even on my somewhat weak IMC, I still managed to push 2400MHz stable using stock timings(except for tRFC) and only 1.5V.

Wait, so all the Samsungs are great, BUT HYK0 ones are even better? How can I identify mine? I have 4x of the 2GB ones. On air, with 2x2GB on my Z77, I got 2260MHz, at 9-10-11-24-1T.

2133MHz was 8-9-8-18-1T. Both took about 1.68v to stay stable.

But it'd be cool if mine are the HYK0.

I don't think HYK0 is necessarily better than HCH9, etc. It just comes down to luck of the draw. Case in point: This Patriot Viper DDR3 2400 kit uses HCK0.

I didn't mean that HYK0 is better than HCH9 if that's how it sounded, I was merely specifying which type of RAM this thread is about and telling a little about them.
    Sorry for any misunderstandings.

Ahh I see! Sorry guys, just new here. Seen I had this memory, and was curious which mine are. Didn't mean to mess the thread up.

EDIT: Just got home, and found out my 4x2GB Samsung sticks ate HYK0.

Thank you so much, that actually answered the question i was going to ask between the difference between KYH0 and HCH9?

I don't see why this should be HYK0?

edit: the second pic wasn't showing earlier. Nice find!

Those 2GB single sided Samsung HYK0 sticks seem to overclock very well:

Yep I have 4x of those single-sided sticks and can easily hit 2400mhz. I hit 2650 or so once.

    Hi,
    Just bought this:
    CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K 3.4GHz LGA 1155 Processor
MOBO: ASUS P8Z77-V PRO LGA 1155 Z77 ATX
and am using my open loop water cooling system to OC this.

I have to pick up RAM today or tomorrow, I had every intention to go with this Samsung RAM (2x 4GB), but can I run this at 2133 or 2400 on a daily basis or you guys just pushing benchmarks to push benchmarks?

Are there any other better RAM options in the US$50-60 range?

Team Xtreem LV 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model TXD38192M2133HC9NDC-L Cas Latency: 9 Voltage: 1.5V is on sale for almost same price, where is my better value at 2133?

Crunching with a set of mine on original ud4 B3 with 2600K 24/7 @ 2200 1.56v 10,10,10,22 ...could probably do better if I bothered to spend the time. I copied the settings I had on my MVG and it just worked when I swapped them over. just with normal fan airflow nothing special.

So the answer to can you is... Yes

Better at the price .... I Don't know

If you get some half decent sticks you can run them 10-11-11-25 at 1.55V rock stable 24/7.

<- new to the game and so far 2133 9-10-10-30 1,45v stable on AMD FX and ASUS Sabertooth 990FX.

    My subs are 5-6-5-8-160ns-45-8-1-4-4-1T

I experience largely different behaviour if I use Channel A vs the better Channel B for the rams, what puzzles me a little. And I cant get over 2250 stable, regardless what volts and timings. The sticks will boot into windows no problem at 2400 10-11-11-28 1,5v but regardless what I am doing, I cant get it stable.

Someone has experience with AMD FX IMC and can tell me if its my weak chip or something else? I only had up to 2166 rams until now

2400 10-11-11 will most likely need a little more volts. Somewhere around 1.55V should be fine.

Maybe you have one bad stick? Did you try the sticks individually?
