I just had a minor loss of power due to a simple overload of one of the power sources in my apartment. No big deal, stuff like this happens from time to time so I just resets the power and everything is back to normal, or at least so I think..
My desktop computer running Antec Quattro 1200W, Intel Core i7-3960X and Asus Rampage IV Extreme etc.. is now completely silent. The lamps on the motherboard lights up, but the system won't fire at all neither when I hit the power button on my chase nor when I hit the power button on the motherboard itself. How come a minor loss of power (with no overvolting due to thunderstorms or anything) can cause this amount of damage to a system of this calibre?
What do you think might be the cause, and which hardware might be to blame? I suspect the power supply as the obvious option when the entire system wont fire at all, but as the motherboard and the power supply itself lights up when I connect the power cord it seems somewhat unlikely? Perhaps I'm on my fourth faulty Rampage IV Extreme motherboard in just half a year, but what would be the odds of that? Might I have my second faulty Intel Core i7-3960X CPU in just half a year, but that seems downright silly considering how low the odds are for faulty processors in the first place.
God damn how much trouble I have to go through with this LGA2011 platform, I haven't had this much trouble with a platform since I had to deal with nVIDIA nForce generation 5-7 chipsets...

Switch PSU, had the same problem with one of my rigs here and the PSU had died.
