I havent been reading much lately anymore, is there a new bios version of a specific setting that can allow me to use sleep mode while overclocked?

Using F7 BIOS I am trying to surpass 4.7ghz with my 2600k (HT off). I have to pump 1.375v to get it stable at 4.7, but even giving up to 1.4v, I crash during load and get a BSOD of 0x124 which, I believe, is a crash due to Vcore being too low. Have I hit a wall or are there other options helpful to getting it stable at 4.8+?
Also Official F8 is live on the Gigabyte website.
Anyone else tried the F8 ?
Something is either wrong with my board or my memory is a little bit bogged up but I used to only have EIST enabled and my processor would downclock to 1.6Ghz and lower its voltage to 1.0XX when idle, my board consistently gives 1.404v loaded when DVID is used from +0.060 all the way to +0.090, and it jumps to 1.44 @ +0.110 Im currently using F8 and I went back to F6F since I didnt have such issue with it before and now Im getting the same problem also setting the Baseclock to 1003 in F8 gives me 100.10Mhz instead of a flat 100Mhz, anyone with some idea's to try ?
Im using a 2600K @ 4.5Ghz.

Whats the Baseclock value to get 100.00Mhz on this F8 bios.. I seem to be getting 99.77 Mhz values no matter what I set unless I go with 101Mhz

Im planning to get 2x Corsair ForceGT's 120Gb soon and Im wondering hows the raid performance on this board, I reverted back to F6F (Modded), any heads up on what to expect on the raid0 performance/issues/settings on this board?
I'm running 2x Crucial M4 64GB on mine in R0. I think you'll be more than happy.
Your modded F6F... I will assume has the latest OROM in it.
I just used the recommended 128k stripe size. Those drives might benefit from some over-provisioning.
Have fun![]()

I have no idea if it has the latest OROM, but it was the one posted at tweaktown.. I've been having some voltage related issues and baseclock issues with the F8 so I decided to go back to F6F which gave me 0 issues at all.
My issue with the F8 is that the DVID from +0.060 to 0.085 wont give me anything other than 1.404v but it jumps to 1.453v if I jack it up to +0.110, with F6F I can get 1.416 and everything in between and It does not give me a flat 100Mhz baseclock, I hate looking at 99.77Mhz.. Ive already tried adjusting the baseclock from 1001~1010 and its stuck to 99.77Mhz on my system, if anyone knows how to resolve this id glady try a Modded F8 so I can be sure I have the latest RAID ROM.

That's a known BIOS bug for all P67/Z68 Gigabyte boards:
http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1917/1/
Hopefully Gigabyte will release a fix soon, though I heard that it would require completely reprogramming the BIOS from Award to AMI.
Some Z68 AMI BIOS's will be posted on TT forum today.
I will try to check for P67 tomorrow.

and that change the update style ?

Is there any way to speed up the BIOS posting on this board? With AHCI selected it takes almost 15 seconds from power on to see the Windows 7 boot logo start.
Any news for new bios on P67...Ivy is coming!
Could Gigabyte finally be releasing a UEFI BIOS for this board?

Is the 2.0.30.0 the latest driver for the USB 3.0 port on this board? Its dated at 2010.. surely theres bound to be a newer version ?

Has anyone tried installing the Windows 8 Release Preview with this board? I want to try out some of the features, but I seem to get lockups every few minutes, not sure if they are related to the board, or the official drivers being too old or what. The CP didn't seem to have any problems, not sure what is going on. This behavior seems to start after I install all of the chipset/motherboard/sata/IntelRST drivers. Is there a bare minimum of drivers to test with, or a certain SATA mode I should try within the BIOS?
To better explain the lockups, it seems like the system will slowly hang and I am still able to use my mouse. It never fully crashes, but I can't do anything besides move the mouse, maybe get a reaction when clicking on something. No programs will open, but I can press Ctrl-Alt-Del to see the lock screen. After that all I can do is move the mouse, nothing reacts when I click. I then have to reboot.

No, I just install Intel Management Engine Interface, Intel INF Installation, Intel RST, MArvell Console Driver and the USB 3.0 driver. Realtek LAN driver won't install, but a driver is already included that works well.
