from the graphic performance improvement over SB, if that is Trinity then it would be too weak to overthrown IVB

It is trinity but the cut down version to meet the low wattage.

I would like to know wattage of those other setups too before making harsh judgements.

Sure it is trinity, as specified there. 25 & 35W.
Brazos 2.0 is up to 18W and it is 40nm, and it is already available, e.g. http://www.msi.com/product/nb/U270.html with E2-1800 processor

P.S. Sorry MSI notebook it is not available right now -
will be available May 18 at a converted price of about £365

hold a second, you're talking about the HP Envy Sleekbook or the AMD embedded chip graphic performance released by AMD itself?

cpu results look horrible...or something is wrong.... the old slow IPC with higher clocks are still a problem looks like.

at least the integer part is able to close the gap with SB around similar frequency?
2.0GHz from Trinity vs 2.3GHz from SB i5-2410M

Its a dualcore vs a quadcore in a multithreaded test... (photoworxx)

But you hae to look at the A6-3400M.. thats only a 1,4ghz cpu, yet the A10 only performs ~11% better?
And the FPU results are even more horrible... doesn't even beat the old A6...

I call BS on this benchmarks.. if that would be true AMD can dig its own grave right now. There is no way someones going to buy it if it offers less performance then its predecessor, the better gpu only can help you so much...

Some of you guys seem to forget that this is just a 2 core 4 thread "improved" Bulldozer...

The A10-4655M has 40% more battery live and 11% more performance.

There is also the 35W A10-4600M which has 21% higher base frequencies
(2.3GHz) compared to the 35W A8-4500M tested here.

It doesn't matter, AMD will continue to call 4 real core like Bulldozer

    Major changes

    Slides on Piledriver have leaked:

    http://www.expreview.com/19347.html

There are actually major changes to the basic BD microarchitecture:
    • Larger OOO structures
    • Improved HW Prefetching
    • Improved Branch Prediction
    • Instruction scheduling improvements
    • Improved TLB hierarchy
    • Improved Load-Store Queue

In addition, Piledriver is the first major volume product released by any architecture to use a resonant clock design, which saves 5-10% power overall:

what kind of performance will Trinity be offering in the GPU area? Anything to match a 5770, or are we still talking barely capable of running much above low settings?

Something with sensor shift image sabilization.
Look at how crazy it gets when the game scenes start frame turns to jello.

So NDA is up tomorrow? O_o

also the 25w A10-4655M looks very intriguing, same specs as A10-4600M but lower cpu/gpu clock speeds
