Seems the article is trying valiantly to make out Bulldozer was garbage due to Intel making changes to their compiler. Which of course is Garbage.
well the intel compiler does not really matter anymore (back in the a64 days, i believe most were using the intel compiler) for a number of reasons. bulldozer does better than the intel parts with the right software....so that part is true. but most people use the vs compiler, and all other compilers are cpu neutral.

I disregarded the intel compiler bit.... AMD's got to much to worry about internally then to worry about that.

but who knows a lot of it just seems like opinion, with a few facts from the leaked slides sprinkled in.

cyclos clock mesh is more interesting

but I am excited they tweaked almost every part of the bulldozer design

looks like it will be phenom I to phenom II all over again.

Trinity for server/desktop (Orochi Rev. Cx) is already in production. So we won't have to wait that long between mobile and server/desktop launch

Nah, that's what it is called at the FAB. Orochi Rev.Cx = Piledriver cores (in this case may be Abu Dhabi or Vishera)

I know its old, but with my 890fxa i can use a bulldozer cpu, i just don't because buying an fx cpu would be a bad decision, i am just hoping to be able to use next generation bulldozer.

    Amd really faildozed me here

890fx might be old , but there are only 2 differences between them .

    - HyperTransport 3.1, which increases the link speed from 5.2GT/s to 6.4GT/s
    - NVIDIA SLI support

    the (Raid,USB,Sata,..) functions of the SB850 = SB950 .

I'm really hoping for some nice ultra portables with GOOD screen, comparable to Apple, so that the next time my mother wants to buy a laptop she could look away from Apple. Are there any with comparable screen in a comparable price to the McBook Air?

I would love to build a fun budget OC rig using Piledriver. Hopefully ipc is at a decent level and power use is better, though all around performance and ipc is really what Amd needs.

It's not even Trinity, which makes it even more impressive if true tho.

Vp8 is decoding video while Sinjulia is utilizing x87 instructions.
From the graph we could see Intel is very good at x87

And A10-4655 (2.0GHz) is near to SB i5-2467M 1.6GHz now?

Yeah that's weird, but it's also called R-464L, seems like VR assumes it's Brazos just because it's embedded.
