    What clocks do they have?

Who will be the first to make a non-ref higher end PCB?

That must be the issue, because you run sli and 3D. With this Bios, I can run Battlefield 3, crysis 2, with ultra settings, without raising power target. 100% stable, on single card and no 3D.
I get the same boost on my card that you have.

This is a fantastic card for Battlefield 3, for me its even better then gtx 580 sli. OK you got more frames, but much more stuttering.

It could also be that he had a lower stock boost clock. It appears that the boost clock differs from card to card for a reason.

    Guys, a few questions:

    1. do you think the varying turbo clock is a way of picking out better binned cores? Maybe indicating which will have a better max clock?
    2. Why do you think water cooling does not increase maxclocks at all (unlike nearly every gpu made before 680)?
    3. What do you think limits max clocks on these? Mine could only do 1058+180=1238 with much room left on the vgpu slider, more volts didn't help, so what is holding it back?
    4. Other than kingpins record holding vid card (record number of mods needed to run LN also lol) has anyone else tried hard vmod to over ride built-in throttling measures?
    5. Is there any trend in brand etc when we look at which models clock best? What brands are hitting 1300+? Or is it random across all brands?
    6. What is the highest clocking example (non-LN cooled) that you guys have seen?

Since these max out with only a small bump in vcore I feel there is something left to unlock, a mod to find that will unleash these when combined with better cooling, what do you think?

    2. Why do you think water cooling does not increase maxclocks at all (unlike nearly every gpu made before 680)? wc don't increase OC but decrease "power" value for me 1300mhz aircooled=132% in 3d11 =>1300mhz WC=105%
    3. What do you think limits max clocks on these? Mine could only do 1058+180=1238 with much room left on the vgpu slider, more volts didn't help, so what is holding it back? vgpu slider isn't functional, it increase automatically so you probably already at 1.175v when you push your clocks
    4. Other than kingpins record holding vid card (record number of mods needed to run LN also lol) has anyone else tried hard vmod to over ride built-in throttling measures? not me, but WC helps
    5. Is there any trend in brand etc when we look at which models clock best? What brands are hitting 1300+? Or is it random across all brands? no, i tested 6 cards no brand correlation

I bought one on release day for $700 (yes that's how much they were here), I benched it and awed at its power then sold it quick while prices were still up and stocks were low. When prices get closer to RRP I will buy two again.

i wish there was some way to unlock more power. what i read is that you can short one of the connections on the VRM chip and it will let you set vids higher than the 1.175v, but then you need a bios with those vids in there. but were already talking about completely voiding warranties, and who knows how much power the vrm section can provide before they pop. its a shame they went so cheap on the board itself, the chip is really impressive.

1258 max, not great but enough to smash my PBs, I sold it because I knew it was well above RRP so prices will settle a lot when more stock is available. I think I will wait for some of the beefier non-ref PCBs to come out, like the Zotac Extreme that has just surfaced.
