    Hey,

I've found that there what appear to be large metal spreads over the front of my Aquaero LT unit. Anyone know if these carry current, and whether it is safe to have the unit mounted such that they are resting on a conductive metal surface?

    Thanks,

    Odai.

EDIT: I'll upload a photo ASAP to help explain

I just got the aquaero 5 and it does what they say it should, but I can't get the winamp to display the equalizer on it. I used the LCDHype but it looks like it does not come with drivers for it. Can someone point me in the right direction to get the winamp working on it? A Plus would be to have CPU and RAM usage displayed.

    Thanks!

    Question

Does anyone know what we can connect in maximum configuration with an AE5 LT as slave ?

Is it possible to double the number of modules like this?
    1x Aquaero 5 XT
    1x Aquaero 5 LT
    12x PowerAdjust 2 Ultra
    4x Aquastream XT
    4x Multiswitch
    2x Tubemeter

I don't plan to buy all this, but it would be great with 12x PowerAdjust 2 and 3x Aquastream XT.
I'm planning a new build, with a lot of radiators and fans. The more I can control individually, the better

I've read endlessly through here and elsewhere but, I'm still lacking an absolute certainty about one thing.

The Aquaero and PA2 will both read my ddc's (pmp400, mcp355)(w/rpm wire) rpm's off of a straight 3-wire connection, no rpm interpreters etc needed?

I know I can control my pumps by voltage input but most of all I want to monitor for rpm loss to trigger a shutdown. I may be confused in part because everybody that mentions an emergency shutdown is planning to use a flow meter signal as a trigger. I'd rather not have to spend $60 on flow sensors, have extra crap hanging off of loops and extra wiring to route if, I can do the same thing with my rpm sensor.

I'm pretty sure I can do this but, I don't recall having seen this explicitly stated anywhere.

This thread has been a great help. Here is a pic of my unit with block, read to go into my build.

I'm very interested in getting this device. Can someone tell me the advantages of getting the XT over the Pro? If its the heat sink part, I will be getting the waterblock for it. Also, is there kind of a "how-to" setup guide somewhere? I'm unsure of how to get this up and running.
Can the A5 run a Laing D5 (pmp-450s) when using the waterblock?

The only reason the XT is more expensive is because A) it includes the remote (B) it has digital keys, rather than mechanical and (C) it includes the optional heatsink.

Yes, it can run pretty much any 12V pump. But I think you need to convert the molex to 3-pin.

also, my pump is a 24V pump, "D5 Strong", but i think it can run at 12V Would that still work or would I need an add-on for the A5?

I'm in the process of building a system with two indendpent loops using only VL4Ns but I'm not WCing the AQ5. Nicely done. I assume those are VL3Ns?

    Software Sensors Information Page

I have setup SpeedFan and the additional file required from AquaComputer to use the software sensors. I have configured them in the AquaComputer software and see them in AquaSuite 2012. However, I don't see an information page for them that I can add so the show on the LCD. Does this not exist yet? Also, is the limit four for now?

    Thanks,
    John

    I have an "LT" and (2x) PA2's. I'll be controlling (2x) ddc 3.25's, 1 on each pa2. That shouldn't be any

    problem I assume, right?

    On the LT I want to run: ch.1 - (4x) gt 1850, ch.2 - (1x) gt 1450, chs. 3 & 4 (2ea.) gt 1850. I've got the large

heatsink with small fan actively cooling it. Is channel 1 with 4 gt's on it gonna be alright?

Also, can I power the LT and PA2's with a single molex leg from my ps (Corsair ax850, if it matters)? Could I

use a something like a 3 into 1 molex adapter with power for all three items including the 2 pumps and 8 fans,

from one original single, molex plug?

Hey I forgot something I wanted to add. I've noticed a lot of pain being expressed over shipping from Europe. I hear ya'. I've been searching for a $2 part from AC but could only find it in Germany or areas across the pond, in general. The best price I could find it for shipped was $18, damn! However, I did find a store in the UK who would ship for 2 1/2 pounds, about $4 or so, not bad.

It's kustompcs.co.uk - I don't know their reputation but the shipping - w/o tracking - is pretty reasonable and they have AC stuff.

Tehehe, but probably with less drastic stepping over limits this time?
Anyway, looking forward to that a lot.

Well, I can give ya some advice, martin. If you make your own power cables for the AE5 and 3 PA2s dont mix up the 12v and 5v. The LCD doesn't like it. Actually 2 LCDs didn't like it.

LOL. I've already made the mistake of switch 12v/5V with my Kaze Master controller. Tried to plug the molex in backwards and pushed it in just enough to make the capacitor pop. Scared the crap out of me..

I am going to make sure not to touch any wires until shut down this time, and I will also limit heat levels to 70C since that is where the thermal throttling resets. First I'm going to work on updating the users guide portion, then I'll play around with load testing. Not going to baby it, but I am going to follow instructions carefully and limit heat to 70C.

Have you found it hard to keep it under 70c with just the fan/heatsink combo?

Has anyone been able to successfully control an MCP35X with the PWM fan channel? The RPMs seem to be read fine, but no matter what settings I tweak in the aquasuite software I get either full power, or no flow. Sometimes the state is random. I've had the pump stop on me twice while tweaking settings that should not have turned the pump down to 0 RPM. Both times I had to switch the fan 4 port to RPM control (instead of PWM) to get the pump to start back up again. I could then set it back to PWM and the pump kept going, but again, still no way to reliably control the pump's speed.

I don't think it's even possible to stop MCP35X by PWM signal if power is coming from Molex connector. If pump doesn't see any kind of PWM signal it goes to full speed and with a low PWM signal it runs at it's minimum 1300 rpm speed.

Havn't tried yet, but I will. Perhaps it needs another ground run to the fan output or something.

You're right, it was at 1300 RPM according to the aquaero. I had perceived it as stopped because there was 0 visible flow in the system, no noise or vibration from the pump, and CPU and GPU temps were skyrocketing very quickly at idle.

That's an interesting thought. I'm waiting on the delivery of some fan pins so the pump is still powered and grounded through the PSU. I know I've seen some reports of other problems due to grounding issues (weird LCD screen behavior mostly) which I'm also experiencing, so playing around with that sort of thing seems like a worthwhile direction.
