    I was using 1.68-1.7vdimm.

I took the cpu out and switched back to the first chip I got. It doesnt have a strong imc and wont even boot at 2400mhz, but it requires less vcore to run at say 4.8ghz. It passed linx at 4.8 using 1.386vcore, and the second chip needs 1.405 set in bios to run at 4.7 and that is not linx stable, just hyperpi and 3d benches. Weird thing though, it seems I am able to run tighter timings on the memory with this chip vs the one with strong imc. Im working on 2000mhz 6-9-6 now. If I am able to get it stable Ill keep this for 24/7.

    did u test performance BTW 2000 6-9-6 and 2133 8-11-8 ?
try lower VCCSA u don't need more than 1.05 /1.10 up to 2200

this is true, on my chip over 1.05 vccsa causes instability at lower clocks.

I was having trouble passing hyperpi at c6 so I started adding vccsa hoping to not have to go any higher on vdimm. 13minutes seems like a long time to finish hyperpi.

Ill try lowering vccsa, and also test 2133c8 vs 2000c6 and see which has better performance.

Edit: this chip wont boot at 2133 1.05.

You guys have much better chips than this.

I will just leave loose timings for now. Ready to go back and start benching s1155 now, cant afford to bin these chips like I did 2600k's.

    Thanks for the help guys.

    Happy Holidays everyone!

i didn't test them personally but if you look the timings and capacity of the memories they should be PSC.
    they are in 2 versions.

BXM Blue HS and BZH black HS, Gskill bin the better IC for black HS and as we can see on newegg price is 15 usd higher than Blue one, we are paying bin cost for overclock.

Ok, and vs this ram http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...2E16820231505?

This one has higher freq but lower timing.

Would I be able to get 2400mhz out of the other one?

Also, why does that one have a green pcb?

    I don't think I need 16gb, Max ram I have ever used is like 5.5 I think.

Also I should get better OC results with 8gb riight?

Also, what are you thoughts on the dominator GT kits?

sure 8GB is better than 16GB for OC,
DOM GT uses Hypers IC witch is not very strong on X79 platform, if you are Corsair fan use their PSC or hynix ICs, all of them are good on X79 platform.
