Finally got it figured out. Any change what so ever to blck , even from 100.00 to 100.01 knocks out my lan. I can live with that till a new bios come out. Strange problem though.

anyone get the subzero coldbug fixed?
You clocking a different CPUlol he just got like 4 WRs i think with his 3930K and UD3 with F7. It is just to prove that it isn't limited. IMO SBe ES suck for OC compared to retails, but yea there is nothing bad about your score
But your clocking is very nice! I think he ran a bunch of runs at that same frequency too like SPI and HyperPI.
BTW you guys see this, which baord burns first, xfastest 5 boards, which burns first? http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ill-burn-first
Sorry for the OT but I have the beta BIOS of ECS and I think it comes with turbo and can also play with the multi. The official BIOS in the website really is not that good as you will be stuck with the x32 multi![]()
Is there a way to update the 2nd BIOS from my current(working F4f) BIOS? Or do I have to remove the CPU cooler to update the 2nd BIOS... not that it's difficult, but I don't really want to...
Guess I should have worded that better. I mean is there a way to copy from BIOS 1 to BIOS 2?
Um I don't know. I think 99% of people use the green/blue button on the backside to switch between BIOSes and flash either seperatly.
BTW new BIOS: F8B
Am I seeing this correctly when i see that they are testing these temps without fans on the VRM heatsinks and they are getting 83c and higher off the top of a heatsink?
So I was wondering what it would be with the probe under the heatsink with and without fans so I tested it.
Here are my results with R4E Idle All Stock settings with and without Fans
Im wondering what it cranks up to while under load!
So I set a 4.375 Normal OC profile preset from Asus R4E and loaded it with Vantage
With No fans
After the vantage run I put a few fans on the VRM and it took a pretty long time to drop temps to 87 (over 5 minutes)
I cant wait to get another UD7. I just like the Gigabyte board better

I think at xfastest they tested under the heatsink, but at stock frequency and 1.4v set with highest level LLC, those were their only restrictions.
^ your reading is in F not C from the looks of you screen, under load it is about the same as the normal temp of the human body lol. If this is the case it is running very cool, it can safely run at those temps for 100 years.
Thats hilarious! Thats exactly what I was thinking when I was taking the picture! I think their readings were in F as well. If not then thats fairly hot. 85c is 185f. That would be pretty hot at idle. I am actually shocked it didnt go up higher under load.
But that was with no Digi settings changed at all.
I had this set at 1.4 and I think the profile auto sets LLC to medium. Dont know why its running as cool as it is. Ill leave the heat sensor on and run it to 5.0Ghz at 1.5v and run vantage again. It seems odd that my temps are so much cooler then theirs. I wonder if they were under load. I cant read the language to tell!
Edit, I see their readings were in C. Wow, Wonder why so hot?

NZXT Phantom 630 Ultra Tower
Win 7 SP1 x64;Win 10 x64
Nice! Will try it later tonight. Maybe this BIOS will introduce some goodies. .
no change log, but from what i have tested, it doesn't offer much over F7. It is probably just F7 with some rudimentary fixes, maybe new cpu microcode. Maybe we have to wait for later betas, like F8e
Well i got my mobo and chip and so far not happy as with a lot of people..the dreaded 6A error. After trying all ideas from here and only able to see BIOS once( before i could flash) i gave up after 3 hours. Hopefully my supplier can sort this out.
This is what you should do, tell the supplier GB said the board needs to be flashed to F7, tell them you want your board flashed to F7.
Me too i have not had this issue. Russian you have an ES C0 stepping?
6A error is interesting. We had an RMA in AU with this error supposedly but the end user would not give us the CPU or sell it to us. We ended up sourcing a new retail chip from a local store and tested the board in question and the board was working perfectly fine .... confused!
I had a 6A issue under cold. Basically, I can't adjust the BCLK when the temperature was under -15°C. If the temperature is above -15°C, everything will be just fine.
Where courage, motivation and ignorance meet, a persistent idiot awakens.
Well he picked it up and after trying various sets of RAM we were able to get into BIOS and update to F7. Then had issues installing windows under RAID. got BSOD or driver corruption messages. Then this morning decided to run single drive and all went well. Awating replacement of my SSD so was using SATA 2 drives
