we Test enough CPU becomes blue Screnns under 1.3Vcore
other CPU the same runs 1.288Vcore on Asus and 1.216 on ASrock Extrem Boards 4.5Ghz.
I have two Raid arrays running on the Intel controller fine. One Corsair GT SSD's and one OCZ agility both are RAID 0. I used the Intel drivers from the Sabretooth disk dont ask me why it was in the drive from my Sabretooth which I used while my original R4E got RMA'D. Have you guys tried the drivers on the original R4E disk???
I wonder why ASUS seems to need more Vcore ?? How are temps on both boards using the same Vcore and cooling??

I heard there are some bugs with the current drivers. You may have a combination that does nto sit well with the OROM and IRST. Either way, update the firmware on those SSDs if you have not done so already and make sure you have "hot plug" enabled in UEFI on the ports those SSDs are connected to.

@Shamino and Raja
I have a question for you.
is the Formula PCB and layout identical to the Extreme? Can I use a water cooler from Koolance for the extremes on the Formula?

Justus is using Mushkin 240GB SSDs looking at his parts list hence my advice to him. You are free to use whatever works in your case with the drives you are using. The hot plug saga has been going on since P67 and is a standard debug item that we walk customers through in case they experience issues just so you know why I suggested it.

Ok so i have switched gears a bit and am not running raid mode anymore. I am using one drive in AHCI. 1 Stick of ram. Fresh 64 bit Win 7. Drivers update. and thats its. I leave for lunch come back and bsod The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000f4 (0x0000000000000003, 0xfffffa80052fa4e0, 0xfffffa80052fa7c0, 0xfffff80002de18b0). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 121411-8080-01. Thoughts? Did it have something to do with hibernation? Machine appears stable otherwise and passes all diagnostic checks.

Pretty sure its the MS drivers as i didnt supply the IRST. My OS is running on a single corsair Force 115GB drive in the SATA II port. I have actually not update the firmware on that. But i will when i get back to the machine. I turned off hibernation and it hasnt BSOD since.

Firmware was current on the Corsair Force CSSD-F115GB2.
Any other thoughts on the BSOD? I am pretty sure it was the hibernation that caused it. I can live without it but knowing its there bugs me.

Was recommeneded here from Overclock.net, since ASUS reps post here.
Anyway, I have quite a problem on my hands. I'm recently in a build with x79 and SLI to game on 3 monitors and I just can't seem to solve this problem. The problem I am having is that at random intervals, the graphics will just crash. I can be running 3dmark 11 or even just swapping windows on the desktop, but it still happens. Here's my build:
Coolermaster HAF X
ASUS RIVE Motherboard
Intel Core i7 3930k
G.SKILL 32GB DDR3 1600
EVGA GTX 580 3GB x 2
Corsair AX1200 PSU
Crucial M4 120GB SSD
WD Black 2TB
Corsair H100
I've tried numerous things including:
- Different PSU
- Each card individually, and the cards in other comps (they work fine there)
- Update BIOS to 903
- Adjust voltages that seemed high for stock (VCC and RAM)
- Boot on SSD and HDD
I've tried countless other ways too, but just so many to list. I've been able to run Prime95 and a Memtest fine. There was also a time where I was able to run 3dmark11 multiple times with no trouble. Here's a link to Overclock.net where I had my first thread:
http://www.overclock.net/t/1184157/gtx-580s-and-x79
That's just to help in case you want to see what else I've done. I've even gone as far to check temps of the ram with a laser thermometer. Everything seems fine temp and voltage wise. Is this a common issue with x79 and SLI? Is it because I'm using 3gb cards that I'm getting this? What do you guys recommend? I've done all I can think of and I'm really getting frustrated with this build, especially with how much I spent on this.
your cards are unstable in SLI.
Test by doing and/or:
downclock gpu core and gpu memory by 5% both
increase gpu core voltage with nvidia inspector.
single card stability vs sli stability there is a discreprancy
Hey Raja, I followed the directions on the Asus ROG site on creating a Ram Cache, and I purchased SuperCache 5. I am running 32GB of Corsair 1600 Dominator quad channel, using a Corsair Force GT 120gb Sata6. I created a 10GB cache size, and had a BSOD after a few hours of BF3. This system was rock solid before, this was the first BSOD. Do you think the cache size should be around 8GB? I am worried that SuperCache is now going to make my system unstable.
