When you guys talk about boot, i take it you actually mean the BIOS POST times? Because booting is the part where the OS is being loaded. For me i dont think it's ever took more than about 100 seconds from pressing power to getting into Windows. The longest thing for me is when i power up it takes a while before my monitor even turns on, and i can see the LED display on the board cycling through the codes which can take up to about 25 seconds, then the ROG screen finally appears
You can speed up the BIOS POST times by going in to the BIOS and on: Advanced > Onboard Devices Configuration and then disabling any unneeded things.
I have these things disabled:
Azalia HD audio
bluetooth
ASM1061 Storage.
"ASM1061 Storage" will stop the two extra SATA ports from working, and only the six intel chipset SATA ports will work. Not sure if this affects the code cycling but once the monitor finally turns on and displays the ROG screen that part will go quicker.
