2600 will need the right CPU. There are quite a few that don't like 2400 much. Where the R4E comes into play is that this board runs 1T where other boards struggle with 2T. We are still tuning so more to come I am sure.

havent tried to push more than 2400 yet, but now you got me interested too.
    Yes, Peter-san
    With a new 079B bios & G.Skill F3-17000CL8D-4GBXMD BBSE chips.
With my kits, CL8 is far stable than CL7-10-7-21 for modPI, but couldn't reach to 2400-- max out around 2380.
Anyway, SB-E is not for modPI, so just for your inf

I think I have found the Benchers' 16GB kit

    16GB @ CL8-11-10-15-1T-88

They feel like the love child of PSC / Hynix. Look at that tRAS
They love VDIMM and can take even 2.10v, good for strengthening IMC when CPU is cold.

    You are welcome

Here is modPI 32M @2400MHz result at the same CL8 setting.
Just needed cold weather, window opened and added an extra 8cm DELTA TFB0912GHE.
    I tested this retail G.Skill kits up to 1.95V @CL6-9-6-19-70-1T on 2600K, but seems 1.89 - 1.9V suites better
