    Rampage IV Formula

Im waiting for the pricing on the formula cause i dont need the LN2 feature of the Xtrem. If the Formula is a little cheaper with the same VRMs and PCIe slots, ill take the Formula.

The P9X79 WS also have a good PCIe layout.... but the color isnt good

You can allways give this a go,it may help."I think there may be a setting for changing USB 3.0 designation to PCH in UEFI - check under the Advanced sub-menus in the onboard devices configuration sections. Changing that setting to PCH may help if UEFI has it."

Give this a go,someone on the ROG forums was having a similar problem."I think there may be a setting for changing USB 3.0 designation to PCH in UEFI - check under the Advanced sub-menus in the onboard devices configuration sections. Changing that setting to PCH may help if UEFI has it.

    EDIT Sorry,double post.

    @ andressergio

You run your 2600K @ 1.425v 24/7? I thought the wall for "safety" was 1.4v. These can be bumped a little higher?

    I'm on water as well.

    @ the_real_7

1.44v is 24/7 on water? Wow!

I think I could get 5.1 or 5.2 ghz w/ that much of a bump.
    You must [not] advance.

Agreed 100 percent , gigabyte fumbled the ball with ud7 having such a great board a lacked support when it was most needed , to make that board really competitive with countless untested bios ,

I can hit higher with lower vcore but im still a prime stable addict , most people out here with low voltages , dont feel that there is a need for prime stable as long as you pass some programs , I feel i want to be 100 percent assured my system isn't having miscellaneous glitches from a overclock . . . but we all have different goals here on xs some people bench bench I bench 100 stable . .
As for Sergio he gets the golden chips , seems to be his luck of the draw but can you bump higher hell yea , chip only get damage mostly at 1.550 and higher under extreme condition with aggressive load line . . . . but it is rare , if your cooling is taking care of the heat

    lucky sergio
you have almost like the same chip like as Sergio , beside his imc , cause man he can push all kinds of ram with that baby ! ! ! or maybe in the asus maximus , with this board my stableness and overclocking had become so much easier I don't know if i should try new bios or stick to 2001 . . . .

As for Sergio he gets the golden chips , seems to be his luck of the draw but can you bump higher hell yea , chip only get damage mostly at 1.550 and higher under extreme condition with aggressive load line . . . . but it is rare , if your cooling is taking care of the heat
Ah! I remember for the longest time, people said the wall for these chips was 1.4v. Over that they die. Apparently not.

I'm not a primestable addict, but if I can pass 1 hour, I'm happy. I have not had one BSOD at 5ghz yet. I don't need the extra speed, but who am I kidding, this is XtremeSystems! I might bump it a bit higher in the future, although I'm not sure, lol. 5ghz is already overkill.

Let me ask this, what should my max temp on load be just to make sure I don't degrade my chip?
    You must [not] advance.

that would be the whole Intel spec thing again 1.4 , then for that we should of bought intel boards this processor been out a year so we've seen our boundaries , there people running these thing in the high 1.6v fields and doing fine but they got massive cooling and im not talking water lol . . . don't be scared to bump it up I stay under 70 but im water cooled , i say anything under 75c is way safe as long as you not loading for 24 / 7 . .

5ghz nice dude , sounds awesome your running a hour on prime that's a pass for me , Sergio will be on later screaming lunch bf3 the ultimate torture test .
Im have to bump it up when i get home , you all making me jealous

Has anyone ever had problems with the Renesas USB 3.0 controller on this motherboard? I've pretty much always run with it enabled and have never had any problems but recently in windows it seems to be acting up? I'll sometimes get a conflict message regarding a usb device and my BOINC "crunching" program stops running. If I disable the controller in BIOS the problems have stopped? Does anyone have any suggestions for troubleshooting? I've been running on the 1850 BIOS...
Ryzen 9 on the test bench... Sometimes older generation/tech as well.
