I have noticed a little problem that sometimes happens.

For some reason, Windows 7 will sometimes not recognise my graphics cards and disables the devices. This means, I have to go into device manager and re-enable them.

Is there something I am doing wrong? I have set the values in the bios for vdimm vccio etc as per andressergio advice and I have reinstalled Windows 7 with Service Pack 1.

I have run Intel burn test and my system is stable and I have upgraded my bios to 2001.

    Any thoughts?

    Regards,

Rentay what graphics cards are you running ?? You in SLI or crossfire?? I had a similar problem with 3 x GTX 580 in Tri sli. What solved it was disabling HPET in Bios.

    Hi Pazza316,

I am running GTX580 SLi (dual), where is the HPET in the asus bios and what does it do?

I have noticed that my computer hasn't done it again! But, if it can help disabling the option then I will!

    Regards,

Its the Intel Hi Precision event timer. I am not at my home PC at the moment but under the advanced tab I think its under PCH or similar. With SLI it defo improves stability many on ASUS forum have seen this too. My tri system would not evan enable with this on in win 7 64. In dual I saw the same symptoms as you. Disable works fine in TRI SLI all the time.

If you search these forums it will tell you in depth what HPET does. It is linked to the system clock.

Pazza316: That seems to have fixed the problem! Thank you

Before, when I would access the bios and do adjustments then reboot into Windows, my graphic cards would not be recognised and I was forced to re-enable them but now all seems well!

    Thanks for the advice

I need to do more stability testing. SC2 and TF2 run 100% stable. I have no BSODs, even w/o a pagefile consuming over 7gb in ram.

I want to run linx, but for now, everything seems perfectly stable. I haven't even bothered tweaking anything, really.

Is 1.4v still the wall w/ these chips for safe 24/7 usage or can we bump it a little more? My chip dips to 1.384v on load w/ small FFTs. I'm on a triple rad w/ a cuplex kryos block. Nothing else in the loop.
    You must [not] advance.

Because "burn is allways user fault"... Also I've to choose between total loss, paying 25€ + shipping + taxes to have an estimate for how much the repair will cost, or pay shipping + repair price ( not known ) to have it fixed... I'm not really in the mood to send it for repair without even knowing how much it'll cost.

    EDIT:

PC card was a go in RMA. Sad sad asus...

It's the same here in Portugal... But IMO it's not acceptable.

Is it only on Crysis or happens in other games / apps?
Did you correctly installed the USB3 drivers? Did you try the ones from the ASUS web page ( http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Int...reme/#download )? Latests RENESAS NEC are there.
I would try uninstalling kapersky, it gave me some problems mostly on web browsing... Cheers...

What about mouse drivers, are you using the driver disk for the mouse,or just windows default drivers, could be an option.
