I find the lack of info from insiders deafening....this chip will go down in the AMD hall of shame.

Wasn't it here where Movieman sad not to worry, one would not be disappointed with BD. I noticed his name was in red and he appeared fairly credible, so much for that huh Well.... at least I will never believe what he says while I lurk for info, he must be in AMD's pocket.

You folks sure are feast or famine... Not sure why the energy is wasted to type all these negative posts.

If you want to know more about MM I suggest you go read a couple pages worth of his posts in the World Community Grid forum. Then decide if you want to retract what you said

That's mighty bold of you talking about Movieman, not to mention rude. Obviously you don't know him. From another thread:

My comments and "excitement" that I spoke about were based on what I saw when I was in Austin.
The relative performance in games and the few benches I saw looked VERY good to me.
Now yes, AMD did fly me there, put me up in a very nice hotel, fed me VERY well and yes, I came home with a FX8150 chip and a Asus CrosshairV board but ask yourself this:
As much as I appreciated the trip and the invitation do you really think I'd "sell my soul" for $500.00 in hardware or for $5000.00 for that matter?
As to why you haven't seen my review yet it's got nothing to do with any of the above but because of a technical foulup and that my friend is the 100% truth.

... wow. That's a pretty big accusation there.

You really have no idea who you're talking about, do you? He is the last person who would be in ANYONE'S pocket.

I think he is satisfied with it, as server apps will be ready for BD. Besides, Cray is aiming for #1 in top500 with their upgraded SuperComputer with interlagos inside.

Has anyone tried folding on the FX ? Maybe it's better than the previous AMDs and maybe this was wat Dave was referring too...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

I only have 13.5k ppd on normal A3 core wus number told by a friend. Basically he loled at it and I didn't bother to ask further about it.
I would be interested on how NB clocking improves things, as cache subsystem is total crap in BD, so maybe clocking CPU-NB would at least improve L3 cache speeds.
All these questions make me want to buy this thing. too bad UK only receives them on 21st. As i said 3rd world country

It didn't make our review so I posted it in the first comment instead. These are stock.

Regular SMP work unit - 13698.9ppd

    Bigadv work unit - 13859.2ppd

So between 13,500 and 14,000 at stock, which is right where it's positioned - around the PPD of a 2500K.
    Heh, later on I posted...

Not just that but he primarily uses Intel CPU's.

In fact, at the same time he was talking about BD, he was talking about building a new monster intel cruncher.

Would I be able to bother someone for numbers at 4.0 or 4.2GHz? Folding and anything else you would like to provide. Im just crunching numbers to see if it we even be worth it to purchase an 8150. I do recommend hardware to those I know but would also like to get into writing reviews. I have connections but just need to learn how to write a good review.

Which is why it's infinitely funny to read posts about him being in AMD's pocket. LOL.
