Im still on the B bios but words cant describe how dissapointed i am with this board. Forget about using a USB keyboard with it. Major instability. Come on gigabyte its 2011! And with no changelogs posted im reluctant to spend alot more time on this POS and swapping bios's. Did anyone notice any kind of improvement with the newer ones?

And i cant find the option to set numlock to ON at boot. Am i blind?

My UD7 is just as bad. I've actually been thinking about selling it to get an ASUS, and that's not like me.

I'm on a contrary quite happy with UD7. It had silly USB keyboard problems with F3 bios but since F4 I'm happy with no problems.
To me it looks like people are too sensitive to vCore fluctuations. For me vCore issue never caused system instability and OC I'm getting out of this board is slightly better than what I had on ASUS CH IV F with no vCore problem.

Good experience all around in a system filled with hardware like: RAID 0 array, SSD, Blu-Ray, HDDs, USB cam, Logitech G15 and G9, Flight Sim USB stick, iOmega REv USB drive, 2xHD6970, 2x4GB RAM and so on.
BTW my computer now is under 100% load 24/7 for good month thanks to BitCoins, not a single problem.

Of course I understand other people can experience issues on same product and personally feel Gigabyte could be doing better on BIOS side.

    For which board?

    EDIT:
    F4 FINAL released for UD7 http://www.gigabyte.com/products/pro...?pid=3880#bios
    1. Update CPU AGESA 0.0.9.2 for AM3+
    2. Update Dolby Home Theater version
    3. Add Touch BIOS support

Will give it a go and see if anything has changed!

EDIT 2: Never mind; it's the same F4B BIOS that has already been in circulation! EPIC FAIL by Gigabyte!

The link for the "New" BIOS is supposed to be http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList...fxa-ud7_f4.exe, but when you download it, you get
    http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList...xa-ud7_f4b.exe.

EDIT 3: They fixed it. 1 P.M. Central

The F5 Final BIOS for the UD5 has a different hash than the F5c BIOS.
Going to try it ... http://www.gigabyte.com/products/pro...?pid=3891#bios

    EDIT

Still overvolts at Idle and drops around 0.1v under LinX load, so no change there.
Haven't seen any changes in BIOS so far.

Ok, bit of an update here of my testing with UD3 over the last couple of days.

F3g beta bios didn't make a difference to me.....couldn't overclock well at all and bios definitely feels buggy. F3 full release then downloaded and this is definitely much much better. As i suspected there was previously something going on with the ram. I can now overclock much closer to what i could previously (with 890GPA-UD3H) and if i left the RAM timings set to AUTO the timings set were MUCH looser than F3f/g.

Then tried F4 (gigabyte must be on the coffee as that's two bios in two days) and it's exactly the same as F3 performance-wise.

The board still seems to have a problem with the high HTT though and successful passes of memtest/intelburn then turn into a no boot when board is restarted and i then have to clock the HTT back up again as it resets to stock. Frustrating.

The bios is definitely getting better but gigabyte are taking their time on what is a known and already very mature platform.

I'm sure that CPUZ/HWMonitor can't read this board totally correctly as my VCore isn't reported properly in either. It's not Vdroop as a 0.2V drop wouldn't allow Intelburn to run and pass although i might be getting some droop but not be able to tell without getting my DMM out.

I just hope i don't have to go through all of this bios work when bulldozer hits.......

Hi, could anyone please comment on the heat of the heatsink ? I ask because I have an ASUS Crosshair V, and it gets terribly hot, when gaming the heatsink is so hot I cannot hold my finger on it for longer than 1 second.
I am wondering if ASUS's VRM are the problem, or if it is the northbridge is heating everything up so much ?

...ok can someone tell me how the gpu's can function so close together? i mean what about heat temps? if all the gpu's are used 100%, how do they handle the heat? i had 2 ati gpu's close together like that, and when they were used; the gpu's would heat up to like 90c+?

definitely not advisable to put a system like this in a closed case. I just did some quick pretesting to see if 4 way works that's all. If you do want a 4way setup you must go watercooled imo otherwise it will get pretty hot.

What happens when Vcore is unstable? crash? My combuter works fine. The only problem I have are when I use 1.5V (standard Volt) for my memory the computer will crash, but if I increase to 1.55V it works perfect.

My Volt looks ok but I have never set it to 1.5V for CPU. I will check it out myself and see what happens

    [EDIT]
My Volt seems to be stable, between 1.520V - 1.536V in CPU-z, never below 1.520V or above 1.536V. Do they have latest BIOS?
