I've had my X-Fi in the lower PCIe slot all along. One thing about the PCIe X-Fi cards; Creative has a downloadable patch on their site for this, but they aren't auto-detected on a lot of system boards. Creative seemed to hint this was a Windows 7 thing; I think it is probably something on their end. Once the patch is run though, installing the drivers picks up the card. I had this happen on my previous Gigabyte board.
Maybe I'll try putting the X-Fi in the middle slot and the Hauppauge in the bottom though, just in case.
