Are all those runs on water? When I dint have water, with all settings on auto, I was increasing the multi and I went up till 5.2ghz (and I dint want to go higher), I'm yet to try anything higher then 5ghz, I guess I'll give it a shot tonight.

Imo, different in maximum multi on each of sb cpu (even from the same batch) have something to do with how quick throttling will start...

Take a look @ cpu #1 and cpu #3 above....running with the same mobo under single stage cooling and almost identical bios settings (vcore a bit different)...pay attention to cores temp on ea. chip. @ load...

cpu #3 can bench 4C/8T at -/+ 10 Mhz from its maximum Mhz. wall whereas the other 3 need significantly less Mhz to be able to bench Vantage, '06 or Wprime 4C/8T

I think Intel put a lock on internal throttling mechanism inside the cpu cores and ea. 2600K/2500K has different Mhz wall or core temperature limit which can trigger throttle...wonder if software mod. can open it up....like this http://www.asusrog.com/forums/showth...and-Workaround
Those are some xtreme clocks

I was wondering how can I know the cpu's wall? and how do we determine which batch was manufactured where?

Thanks!
