I too like the new chart as it is much easier to read. The other chart made the Samsung look like a POS, in this new chart it shows that the MWI does indeed wear out faster on the top drives, yet they are still able to perform successful writes even after the SMART attribute is done.
Something interesting I noticed on that Samsung on top. You are testing a 60GB drive, and the MWI lasted pretty much right at 60GB. Coincidence?
According to that chart the drives look like they last significantly past the MWI value. I havent read every single post in this thread but I have been skimming it since the beginning so IDK if this has been asked yet or not. But with your program, are you actually checking to make sure the write that is done is able to be read back successfully? Or is it just writing data without verifying all the data is written properly?
