Guys I have a weird issue with my P8P67 EVO - everything works fine but with my last two o/s installs (for benching) AI suite shows BCLK at 4.2mhz and wont accept any adjustment, whats going with this and how do I fix it? If I put my gaming HDD back in (with old o/s install) it works fine so it doesnt seem like a hardware issue....

    Any help would be great.

I just installed some gskill 2133 ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231468 on my p67 pro B2 running the 1850 bios and now it won't wake from sleep, stock speed or 45/100. I never had this problem with another gskill kit at 1866. Anyone know the cure ?

Is there a consensus yet on exactly what PLL overvoltage does? Last I read people didn't know yet if it broke anything.

Was running my 2500K at 4500mhz so vCore not high at all. My RAM was running at 1600mhz - 8-8-8-24 1T on 1,5v. I wanted to test if the mem could run a little higher so I increased clock speeds to 1866mhz in the BIOS and leaving everything else as it was so no voltage increase. Booted up fine and I did a quick memtest which showed no errors after 10% coverage. Started up a game of LOTRO but after a few minutes there it crashed to desktop saying the lotro client stopped working. Never had this before so it had to be the RAM. Rebooted and I increase RAM voltage from 1,5v to 1,55v so still within specs. After I set the voltage to 1,55v I pressed F10 to save and exit and instead of booting up my pc shut down completely. From that moment on I have been trying to boot but no matter what I try I can't POST. When I cut all power for a while and put it back on and then press the on/off button I see a few leds on the board just blink for a fraction of a second and the fans also move just for a milisecond and then it's over. I've tried just about everything I can think of to try and reset the board but it won't bulge. Cleared CMOS with the jumper and even tried the special way described in the manual (remove battery, clear cmos with the jumper and put it all back) but again nothing happens. I have removed all connections (Sata etc.) and removed the GPU and RAM and even took out and put back in the CPU. Still, no POST.

I just have the board for a few weeks so I'm at the point to RMA it unless anyone has a golden tip to try and get it to boot.
    Hi there.

What PSU and cooler were you using because i purchased my Asus P8P67 EVO and i72600K a month ago and in a month i have been through two CPU`s and Mobo`s and i cant understand what the problem is. I am scared to use this board now because the supplier thinks it is something on my side but all my hardware is running my old Asus Rampage 2 extreme system just fine and i dont want to have a very expensive paper weight here that they wont accept. My PSU is a HX1000

Edit: I also saw this on the back of my PC board which to me looks a bit dodgy

I'm using a Thermaltake Toughpower 750W and an EK Supreme HF Full Copper waterblock. Still waiting for my board and proc to return from RMA after 5 weeks.
Also made a complaint to ASUS as I suspect there is flaw in some boards but initially they came back to me talking about the "Sandy Bridge" problem which either shows the support person doesn't have a clue or they were trying to shaft me. Either way, my faith in ASUS has dropped a lot.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry to hear the trouble you are also having. The defect that i showed above seems to be in the PCB not like a scratch or dent. I have asked if I can get the Gigabyte UD5 as a replacement but he is unsure if they will do that and he doesn't know if they will swap it as it must be a problem on my side or some physical damage i have caused because two have broken. My Rampage 2 extreme is back together with all the same hardware and running like a gem. I have no faith in this new board whatsoever and think if they do give me another Asus i must just sell it for a loss and move on.

I will not easily recommend this brand to anyone else. All my mates who use Gigabyte are all laughing at me now and it looks like i made the wrong choice here.

Would you buy this Mobo again?

Looking for my next upgrade, everything in sig remains same except for:

    ASUS P8P67 DELUXE
    i7 2600K
    CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) - CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8

I'm confident this is a good combo, but mixed reviews on the finicky nature of this mobo has me concerned. To be fair, MSI and Gigabyte have their issues as well. My current ASUS board (P5Q Deluxe) was also finicky at first, but has now been stable for almost 3 years (not due to a BIOS upgrade, rather, tweaking; In fact, I'm still on a really early bios).

So I guess I'm looking for pros/cons on the ASUS mobo before pulling the trigger on my wish list at the egg. Thanks.

    I have overclock problems.
M system does not let input more then VCore1.53. Does anyone know why? If I set my Vcore to 1.54 after saving the bios and restar the computer, folowing message apears: overclock fail - press F1 to setup.
Can someone help me out please?

    Thanks in advance.

I put in a new kit Vengeance 8GB 1866MHz, 9-9-9-24 memory but they wont be stable? I have increased Vdimm up to 1.55V but it failes in Prime after a few sec. Now I run them in 1600MHz, 8-8-8-24 instead but any ideas to bump up to 1866MHz?
What do I have to increase more?

Seriously, I don't think there's much you can do if you already hit a wall with > 1.55V and PPL OV enabled =(

Trying to run 4x2gb and the black dimm slots wont post at timings tighter than 8-9-8-28-2T no matter what voltage. Also not stable at 1T nor 21.33x again no matter what voltage. 100% stable @ 8-9-8-28-2T 1866mhz 1.425vdimm everything else stock. Same sticks run 2133mhz 7-10-7-28-1T @ 1.575v using only blue slots. Tried bios 1502, 1606 and 1850.

Have tried to run 4x2gb BBSE (eco c7), 2x4gb hypers (no go above 1866mhz, MGH and MNH) and 4x2gb PSC (G.skill CL6-12800-XH). BBSE is poor, Hypers just dont work and the PSC is great in 4gb but 4 slots populated is just rubbish.

Also since flashing to 1850 I can no longer run over 102.2bclk stable. Used to run fine at 105.5. Have flashed back and forward several times to try and fix it, but it wont even post over 103.5 now? I detest this board .

Anyone have any suggestions before I try to RMA the board?
