    I have a question.

I have been overclocking a 2600K on a GA-Z68X-B3, and I can get it to run fairly reliably @ 4800, a little warm, mid to high 70 C, under a H70, and I feel just a few too many volts (1.44+) under heavy load.

BUT, say, the next day when I turn it back on, it can take many times to post & boot into windows, meaning, it will just start proceeding's, then shutdown momentarily, and try again, and again, but if I clock it "down" to say 4600, it's fine.

I guess this means it needs a bit more vcore or vtt.....what is safe ???

    Any suggestions more than welcome.

    Cheers

None, its part of Intel spec.. if you want to minimize vdrops use LLC.

    EDIT:

Anyone tried F5B? or F3D is still the best as of date?

If we disable the thermal monitor option under bios would this mean that the voltage+multiplier will not drop during prochot status?

I would recommend not using F5C for the moment. The memory dividers are not correct and do not operate as they should. A setting of 1600 results in 1333MHz actual speed, 1866 => 1600, etc...

The problems have been reported and we should see another update soon.
