Guys I know this isnt the place to ask and I wont spam it, Im after a 5500+ 2600K too, so if you have one to sell then please PM me. I had a weird one before that would run SuperPi at 56x but I could not get it to pass a 3D bench at anything oer 5250.... it died and the rma unit did 5400 but needed 1.6v to pass, so its now sold and Im in need of a replacement urgently. That 5400 unit was my best so far.

my batch is 3049B295
4.6Ghz 1.32 actual load voltage.
any higher and i am seeing massive voltage jumps on vcore.
i have not tried other voltages and honestly dont understand which voltages to change to allow higher clocks.....
sandybridge voltages are just too different.

Hema a very good cpu may be stable at 5Ghz with 1.4v or maybe even less, but around 1.45v or more common and some worse examples may need 1.5v or more, so try 1.45 and see how it goes.

OK I got another 2600K today, has anyone seen results from 3105C362? .... fingers crossed , its going in now ....
Man I think I found my baby ..... booted at 55x then bsod, rebooted at 54x then up to 56 and ran superPi 1mb and it passed, then hit prime and bsod, but at this point its voltage related right? I only tried once so far and I was happy to see it running at 56x even though it was at 1.62v at that point, at least it did it, so:
What is the max voltage you would bench at (water cooling)? Is there a way to get past the overvolt warning on boot with P8P67 EVO not allowing you to boot with more than 1.55v?

some info when it comes to L104A424 batch? 2600k cpu
Yeah man thats what I meant by "rebooted at 54x then up to 56 ", so yes I booted at 54x then bumped multi to 56x, ran pi then tried prime but near instant bsod, so how much voltage can I give it on water before death is likely? I killed my last 56x cpu while benching, I would like to make this one last a bit longer.
Thanks but how much voltage is the absolute maximum to try?
:-)

Would not even dare to run Prime 95 at those volts, whatever cooling I might be using. With Dice and LN2 I have gone till even 1.65-1.7.0V without killing my chips. Use Max multi/clocks only for benching, after that drop to 4.5Ghz or so for 24/7 usage. Keep an eye on temps when benching, anything below 65-70C on load is decent enuf in my experience.

No I had no intention of long term prime testing at that voltage, just a short shot to see if it will hold load but it didnt. That was initial testing after installing the new cpu, if I had more time I would have just gone into 3D benching to see how far it would get. What max voltage would you suggest for benching only with water cooling? Im pretty sure my last one was running around 1.6 when it died. This cpu is happy at 4700-1.35v so that will probably be 24/7 clock.
Dumo - very nice, how much does the cooling help that result?
