Do you really think a company would fire their CEO just because their least relevent market chip (enthusiast desktop) was going to be inferior to their competition? Far more financially relevent parts like Bobcat and Llano are wiping the floor with their counterparts and selling out before they leave the fabs.

You forget that exactly the same chip goes into servers. And BD covers a lot of ground, not only extreme enthusiasts.Thats a big part of the pie 4-16 cores.

None of these links/leaks are about server BD. None of the drama is about server chips either so you cannot link them both.

If BD desktop has problems, it's not a problem shared with the server chips.

Dude, if BD would be a fail, than it would be a fail in every segment from 4 core desktop mainstream up to 16 core server part. Its the same chip.Yes, its shared.
I dont think BD has any major problems though.Just sayin.

AMD has confirmed the 320$ price for the top bin FX chip so there is no way in hell that these crap results are representative of the final product, anyone insisting otherwise is either an idiot or spreading FUD on purpose.

You troll and spread all over every one of these threads just to steer other people away from AMD...which is funny since you own an 1090T.
The trolling is not intended. Frankly what you are seeing is people who are vehemently distrustful of corporations when information is kept down this tightly. People including myself have been burned multiple times over these last couple years with promises of gumdrops and rainbows for products that don't deliver.

A lot of people bet that Zambezi would end up being better than LGA1155 and on par with 2011 based on initial numbers that were available and chose to wait it out; just like I did for Fermi, just like I did for the Phenom IIs, so far I've gotten burned all 3 times. Therefor I'm ing pissed that once again its looking to be yet another crapshoot.

AMD really needs to release something; like now because I guarantee you there will be an enormous backlash if people wait until September only to find they've been fooled again.

    Hmmm rinta,

didn't you try out one and said AMD had nothing to worry about ?
Was yours a good sample or you just made a guess?

Yikes! But only 5 years?? I thought it would surely be next 10 years,at the least. 5 years is short period of time .

PS Please note ,just for the record,I don't take the guy quoted above seriously.

Thanks, now you can kindly back out of the thread since you have absolutely NOTHING worthwhile to contribute.

Please go troll somewhere else. Trolling eventually got some others booted from the news section, I suggest that if you don't want kicked out of XSN as well that you tone it down a bit.

I still stand by my prior statements of waiting until official, REAL tests are done on the actual release chips. Anything else is pointless.

Do you honeslty think BD can compete with Ivy bridge? nevermind going up against haswell thats going to be out soon after Ivy.

Yeah youre right 5 years is too short, prolly about 6 is a good timeframe for when AMD will have something to go up against haswell

    You make me laugh

I expect Bulldozer to do well against Sandy Bridge E, it will probably be a little behind on Ivy Bridge as Phenom II was behind on Core i7.

The problem is, you dont even take into account pricing...nomatter how ty the CPU's are they will be priced competitively compared to intels similar offerings.

No, I'm not an AMD fanboy...I just choose to support the underdog. Anyone willing to donate me an LGA1155 setup I'll throw it under some DICE

Who cares about IB? SB is out since March(sata mobo bug),this year. That is 3 months of retail availability.Zambezi will launch @ end of July.So we have BD desktop effectively trailing SB desktop by 4 months.Wow,a massive difference!
IB is Q2 2012 product and Haswell is Q4 2012 or Q1 2013.By the time Haswell arrives we will not only have 20 core enhanced Bulldozer out,we will have real next gen bulldozer with GPGPU coprocessor on-board(and software stack in place). So ,who cares about 2012/2013 products again? Stay on topic which is Zambezi or go to some other thread and discuss end of days year all you want.

You think you will have BD out in july without one final done chip sent out to review sites?

Personally I got tired of AMD's BS and just bought a SB system. I couldn't be happier. I'll be recommending Intel systems to friends, family and my current customer base. If you're on the fence waiting for AMD, jump off. Don't financially support a company that doesn't give a rat's ass about it's customers. Just my 2 cents.
As quoted by LowRun......"So, we are one week past AMD's worst case scenario for BD's availability but they don't feel like communicating about the delay, I suppose AMD must be removed from the reliable sources list for AMD's products launch dates"

Eh I just bought a 2500k to mess with just because I'm always tinkering with new technology. It's not that much more impressive than my previous 1055T and 840T X6 TBH. But power consumption is much lower. If BD kicks ass I'll just sell my LGA1155 setup, if not then I can wait till next year and upgrade to IB (BIOS update hopefully) or 2nd gen BD.

What is the point in all of these ridiculous trolls coming in to proclaim that they got tired of waiting on BD and bought SB instead?

Don't you get it? We couldn't care less, nobody could, and we're not going to give you a pat on the back for selling out. The really stupid thing is, AMD could launch BD on desktop within the next 3 weeks and they'd still be in Q2. Not saying it will happen but it just shows how ing retarded these comments are.
